The Vic Tavern is open for dinner and drinks from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturdays offering seasonal cocktails, local craft beers and an eclectic wine list to suit every palate. We have a Thai Prix Fixe Menu on Saturdays with seatings at 5:30 and 7:30. The Vic Tavern offers a carefully selected gastropub menu, inspired by American and Asian cuisines, in a lively yet relaxing environment. Fabulous Vermont products, and some from around the world, have been sourced, sampled and selected to bring you a delicious experience. Make reservations for a table in our beautiful Victorian dining room or pop into our speak-easy style bar. Dogs allowed on the front porch or patio seating.

We have been here several times and always had a magical experience! Such a charming Inn restaurant with delicious food and great service and vibes. But this weekend we had the Thai prix fixe for the first time and it was exceptional! Outstanding flavor and every course and bite was a standout. The wine pairings were a nice touch. As if the meal couldn’t be any better, dessert was also incredible, we split 2. The chef and owner Heather is so talented and likable, she and her team made Valetine’s Day extra special for us, we love the Woodstock dining scene but don’t get out as much as we’d like with 2 young kids at home, so it made our night and then some!! We’ll definitely be back soon. Thank you:)

Busy holiday weekend and couldn’t find a reservation anywhere from Ludlow to Woodstock. Then I stumbled onto Vic Tavern. We have been coming to this area for 40 years and never noticed there was a restaurant in the inn. There was an opening for an early dinner so I booked it with some trepidation. At the time I did not realize this was a Thai prix fixed meal, so that was a bit of a surprise. Our party of 4 was so pleased with the lovely, quaint and welcoming charm and hospitality extended by the staff. The meal was fabulous and every plate was presented well and delicious. Rachel, the chef, is outstanding and came out to greet us at the end of our meal. We will be back and hope to try other inspired dishes. This is a hidden gem that we are thrilled to find. Absolutely worth the price and you should stop by.

Wonderful meal and kind service! My husband and I were visiting Woodstock for our anniversary and we were thrilled to see the Vic Tavern open for dinner on a Tuesday.
I started with the VT Lemon Drop – I wasn’t sure how maple and lemon would mix – but it was amazing!
We had the potato pancakes for an app – so good! For entrees my husband had the filet which was cooked perfectly. I had the butter chicken pot pie and that was delicious. The flaky crust – oh my!
We couldn’t resist dessert and split the maple pecan pie. We wished that we ordered two! (No need to split as you WILL want your own) Best pecan pie ever!

I’ve been here 5+ times, and literally every visit I think about how lucky we (Woodstock) are, to have the Vic in our community. The food is consistently excellent, the service is great, and the atmosphere never fails to charm. I just left the Thai prix fixe and it was delicious– the kind of food one would typically have to drive hours to get. I can’t say enough good things.

On our first night in Woodstock, VT we arrived at this gem. What a special place, the atmosphere decorated so classy for Christmas was spectacular. And the food…o my gosh….the food was absolutely AMAZING. The best food I’ve ever had. The chef is a true artist….and we met her! We ended up chatting after and got to know her and her family which just added to the entire experience. By far THE best restaurant we went to in Woodstock…the food, Christmas decor, atmosphere, staff, service, everything was absolute perfection!

We absolutely loved it here! Visiting with my daughter from California and came in less than an hour before closing and we were welcomed with open arms!! Our wonderful waitress was full of suggestions and the food was impeccable! Such a friendly and wonderful staff! Don’t skip the dessert! There’s a friendly rivalry between the chef and the sous chef on who has the best dessert! They would love to hear your favorite. Can’t wait to go back to this lovely place.

The Vic is our FAVORITE restaurant in the entire region. Every time we are celebrating a special occasion, we don’t even need to have a conversation. We know we’ll be celebrating at the Vic. Heather and Jared, the owners, are incredibly gracious and always make sure that our experience is one of one. Heather has lived and cheffed all over the world, and their seasonal menu reflects the breadth and depth of her culinary expertise. We always enjoy authentic Thai, Indian, Cape Malay, and similar cuisines that you just cannot get anywhere else. Every time we visit, we look forward to what new dishes will be on the menu. And, the drinks are just fabulous. Thank you for being our favorite restaurant!

Their Saturday Thai pre-fixe menu was SO GOOD! We could not believe it wasn’t more crowded as everything we had was delicious and our waitress really made the experience amazing, she was incredibly sweet and gracious. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint, exactly what we wanted for our trip to VT.

Here is an odd review – we made reservations based on a menu we found online, however, it was not the right menu. As such, we decided not to stay after we saw the actual menu. The menu had excellent offering including several for vegetarians, unfortunately they just happened to include ingredients my spouse can’t have.
We felt terrible leaving especially because everyone was so friendly and kind. The restaurant interior is magical. If you made a wish for the ideal winter holiday setting, you would land here!
If the food is anywhere near as nice as the setting and people, this restaurant should be a win!

Wow! A wonderful evening at The Vic Tavern. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was perfect and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Heather for looking after us so well. If you decide to visit here you will not be disappointed!
