I have been to The Velveteen Plum numerous times, and I have never left disappointed! The food here is delightful, very flavorful, and the plating of the food itself is tasteful and matches the atmosphere of this chic rooftop bar and restaurant. This restaurant is a must for anyone looking to indulge in well-prepared food with deep roots in Latin-inspired cooking. The wait staff here are all phenomenally kind and truly make each and every meal that much more enjoyable. It’s safe to say that I’ll be returning for another meal very soon!
(Additional Note: I would highly recommend the chimichurri bread to anyone looking for a delicious appetizer!)

Park across the street on the gravel lot that is half way up the block. Food is lovely, lots of chimchuri. Mussels were great, same with the shirt steak and salad. Waiter was very knowledgeable. It was a snow storm so the view wasn’t great.

I had a dirty martini and the mussels which are always my go to and the best. Stacy is the absolute BEST server I have ever had. I have come here for over two years now and Stacy has never not served me with the best personality, work ethic, and attentiveness to our table. Stacy makes it personable and never ceases to amaze me. If you want the whole experience with foods and drinks as for stacy !!

I would give the VP a 3.5 or a solid B rating. When you walk in it gives you this VIP appearance. Love the swanky rooftop just wished it was warmer so we could really enjoy it. Views were awesome from our table! And they accommodated our large group easily.

Meals were good but did not have that elevated feel it should have for the price or environment as it was served in a basket. While this may seem petty it really brought down the dinner.
Such a cool environment but presentation failed at plating. So much thought put into everything else. The beverages had more thought put into them.
Would love to come back for drinks on the patio.

We had a great date night here. The service was slow, but overall the atmosphere was on point. We sat on the rooftop, and it was a nice night, so the wait for drinks and food didn’t bother me as bad. I loved my salmon entree, and the shrimp ceviche was decent. My husband’s red snapper was delicious! The mussels were different than what I’ve had, but my husband enjoyed them. I loved the decor and the drink menu ON POINT! I will stop again!

I hate to give this place a bad review but I genuinely am baffled at the experience I just had here. We had a reservation for 6:30 and we were not sat until 6:50. When our waitress finally came over she let us know that our drinks were going to take a long wait which was no problem. We ordered one mixed drink and one soda. We got our food after one hour which was not a big deal, the mixed drink came shortly before the food but we still had not gotten our soda. The waitress had walked past us multiple times saying she was going to get us our drinks and they never came until 15 minutes after we had our food. We had finally gotten everything we had ordered and the food was delicious. Another issue had occurred when we needed the receipt from the waitress and she proceeded to tell us that we had not given her a tip and wanted to make sure we knew that we pressed $0 for the tip. The remark made us feel so uncomfortable even if we were going to tip with cash at that point the waitresses comments were out of line considering she checked on us all of 2 times throughout the night. Food was great service was something that we were not expecting would not come again. Even asking for the drink menu was met with a rude remark saying we had the menu already when it was empty with no menu in it. The waitress made this experience so unenjoyable.

We enjoyed our dinner here & it was absolutely delicious. My friend who was eating with me has some allergies, so Chef Erica came out and discussed options & made her a delicious meal. Our server Mila was a wonderful server! Gorgeous views inside and out. This definitely was one of the best meals I’ve had in awhile.

My friend and I had an amazing experience. The drinks were amazing! Also, our waitress was super energetic and friendly. The patio view at sunset was beautiful and when it got colder, we were offered blankets. We got the Pollock which was huge with two giant pieces, fries, and slaw so we split it. It was amazing!

Dinner here was so flavorful and the presentation was lovely. Restaurant was not crowded at all around 7pm so seated immediately. Food and drinks were delivered very quickly and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Huge parking lot across from the location and take the elevator to the top floor. Great view of Rib Mt ski resort.
