Would give this place 10 stars if I could! Me and my husband come all the time and they never disappoint. The platting is beautiful and the flavors just melt in your mouth. We have tried about half of their menu and love everything.

The food at The Veggie is absolutely incredible! Chef Mason is a really talented vegan chef.

The only down side is that the orders can take time to prepare, so you could wait 10-25 minutes before getting food. BUT, that’s to be expected with any fresh-to-order, good-for-you meal!

If you’re in a hurry, I recommend that you place a pickup order in advance.

If you’re willing to wait, and have a professional vegan chef prepare some of the best vegan food in Madison, you will love it!

P.S. My top recommendation is to try the Cluckster sandwich. So gooooood!

Well… we had high hopes, but they don’t specialize in first impressions. After ordering from a kiosk, we sat and waited… and waited… and waited… and waited… and waited… and waited… and after an hour and seven minutes, FINALLY got served our meals. The fries were decent… the jackfruit BBQ wrap was stone cold in the center… a big no no for ANY BBQ. It was so saturated in pickled relish it was a literal mouth full of vinegar… I couldn’t finish it… I choked about a quarter of it down, then boxed the rest for the wife to try it. She wanted to try their chicken club and lemonade… both sold out. Bummer. So her visit, even before the atrocious wait, was a huge disappointment. She settled on the chik’n and fries. Greasy, flavorless mushrooms, but she said the breading was okay.

Overall, a horrible experience. Vujie Vegan is still a go to for vegetarian/vegan fare for us

This place is absolutely amazing! We tried the turmeric nachos with guacamole , the buffalo shrimp poboy, their regular seasoned fries, their sweet potato fries, and the cluckster. Literally everything was amazingly delicious and fresh!! The staff was super friendly. The girl at the counter had so much positive energy. Give this place a try. You will not regret it at all.

This place was quite tasty for my cheat meal. The ordering process was easy and they delivered my food to the car. They are only currently accepting take out orders. I had the Philly Cheese Patty, Sticky Orange Basket and The Cluckster. All of the dishes were good, but my favorite was the Sticky Orange Basket.

I like the new location and the seating that is available. I tried the Crabless Cake Sammy and it was good. The fries were very crispy and fresh.

As someone who is allergic to red meat and dairy, going out to eat can make me very anxious. Every time I go the The Veggie, I know that my food is not only safe for me to eat, but absolutely delicious! Everything I’ve ever eaten there has been so good! You can taste the love that has been put into each meal.

Do yourself a favor a give the Veggie a try. You may even find your new fave place to eat.

I used to frequent this establishment when it was located at Lowe Mill and never had any real issues besides them running out of menu items very often. After moving to their new location I wanted to take my date there to let them try it out however this time it was such a bad experience that I haven’t been back since. Upon arriving we had more than a while to look at the menu while the 2 workers talked and worked on other things. When our order was finally taken we were told after ordering that they couldn’t make anything we ordered because the chef was not there so essentially all they could offer us was fried food only. We went ahead and said you know what that’s fine, we will just keep it simple and order the chick’n baskets. We both ended up throwing the entire order away once we received it 45 minutes later because it was honestly horrible. I’m not even sure how you can mess up fried mushrooms and fries but the workers there obviously needed help from their chef/owner. I felt embarrassed about recommending the place to my friend at that point and we had to go spend money to eat elsewhere right after. I am a vegan chef and reviewer myself so I love supporting all vegan establishments but truly this left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’ve never been back…. I truly hope the owner or chef stays in house from now on and doesn’t leave the entire establishment on the young girls that have no clue what they are doing anymore.

The food was hands-down delicious. The sweet potato fries the best I have ever tried. If that were the only factor, we’d have gone back multiple times already. As a high-quality vegan place, the prices are also high, which we expected. About $15-$17 for a sandwich. So, it was frustrating to be nickel-and-dimed for the smallest things. Swap your sauce to another in the same category? That’s an extra 50 cents if they have to take it from the refrigerator in front instead of from the kitchen (I kid you not, that was the reason we got from the cashier). Want tap water? That’s $1 for a cup. I understand they need to make a profit, but they lost future visits from us because of this kind of pettiness.

I’m sorely disappointed with The Veggie. I had high expectations. There was a long wait, but I was not upset about that, after all it was their grand opening. BUT after waiting an hour and a half for our meals, mine was subpar.

First the good: The prices are really reasonable. The staff was super friendly! The atmosphere is inviting and bright, though a tad smoky. The lemonade was fantastic, we got a charcoal and a mango ginger. My daughter got the Philly and it was really good.

Now the bad: After waiting an hour and a half, the fries were cold. I definitely wasn’t expecting that. I ordered the chikn strips. There was more breading than oyster mushrooms. The menu stays you get EIGHT slices, I’d be lucky if I got TWO. The rest was breading or mushrooms that were cooked so hard you couldn’t eat them. They too were cold. We bought 4 cookies at the register and they were undercooked.

I understand that they were super slammed, but I would have expected they still put their best foot forward on opening day as well as after having people wait so long.
