Sooooo good!! Whenever people visit from out of town it is one of the first things I get for them. I have a lot of vegetarian friends that love being able to get anything on the menu. The Garlic naan is phenomenal. I always get the dumm aloo, and the rice that comes with it is delicious! I have never had a bad experience.

Traveled here from Minneapolis given the positive reviews. Place was empty aside from one person eating food who turned out to be the lone employee. Overall place a mess with half the tables covered with stacks of stuff. Weird how she was eating but the place did not smell of food cooking, something unusual for an Indian restaurant. It looked like no one had been there for a long time. Can’t imagine why anyone would eat there, and left without ordering. The positive reviews can’t be legitimate.

Love the name, love the food, love the owners. I ordered the Avila (plantains, carrots, eggplant, cauliflower and other vegetables in a coconut sauce) was SPECTACULAR. I have never had this dish, but since dining here it’s been on my mind so much. Each bite was bursting with flavor. The vegetables were wonderfully tender. The portion was large as well. My husband got the Eggplant Masala (garden fresh eggplant sautéed with herbs and spices). It was excellent! Tons of flavor. I believe this was the best eggplant dish I’ve ever had!

The Vegetarian is a mom & pop, hole in the wall totally worth visiting. The couple who own the joint are charming and lovely and lively, and they’re running their business in the way that works best for them. The food was served quickly and it was outstanding, every bite exploding with flavor. The food will be served with plastic silverware, paper plates, in takeout containers. Their focus is outstanding food, not doing dishes or fancy renovations. I hope this restaurant is around for years to come, and if I lived in the area I’d be there more often than I’m willing to admit. I can’t wait to get back as I have plans to order my way through the menu as quickly as possible. If I could cook like Ashok I would be vegetarian – his food changed my life. We ordered the taster sampler, kadahi mushroom mutter, garlic naan and masala chai.

Seriously the best Indian food I have had to date. The samosa were amazing, and had a nice heat to them. The veggie pakora were a neat treat, with different types of veggies.
Aloo Gobi was my favorite dish; it was simply superb. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go again!

I’m not familiar with Indian food. The owner helped me pick out an appetizer & entree. He even borrowed me his glasses so I could look at the menu! Both dishes were incredible! Great flavor! The rice it came with, spectacular! Portions were large. I will diffenately be back to try more dishes. I highly recommend!

We are from out of town and saw this neat place so we swung in. Group of 3 we aren’t strict vegatarians but we all raved about how good it was. We shared 2 entrees, got smoothies and 2 desserts. It was all amazing. I wish we had this restaurant where I live. If I’m ever in town again I will be back. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in my life. The coffee was even amazing.
