If you’re in southern Oklahoma, you absolutely have to check out this place. The food is incredible, and the history is fascinating. Housed in an old bank, the restaurant preserves original features like the teller stands, which have been converted into tables. One of these stands bears the scars from a bullet that killed local sheriff Sam C. Long during a robbery attempt. The robbers didn’t get away with it, though—they were killed in their failed attempt. It’s a piece of local history you can feel while enjoying your meal.
Now, let’s talk food. The BBQ pit is the hidden gem here. The ribs and brisket are so perfectly smoked and tender that you can eat them with a spoon. If you’re not in the mood for a full meal, the fried chicken wings are massive, the golden, crispy onion rings are to die for, and the crispy double-battered fried pickles? They are next-level, crispy, and absolutely delicious—definitely a must-try. The pickles are served with homemade thick ranch dressing, making them even more irresistible.
And don’t worry if you’re stuck behind a train—just stop by The Vault and quench your thirst. You won’t be disappointed. After all that savory goodness, top off your meal with the most delicious carrot cake, featuring a rich, flavorful maple frosting that’s the perfect sweet ending to your experience.
In addition to the fantastic food, the restaurant offers a large conference room that’s perfect for business casual meetings or family gatherings. The rustic, historic vibe of the space makes it a comfortable and unique setting for any event. The employees here are upbeat, friendly, and genuinely happy to make your visit enjoyable.
****If you’re waiting on the train, ask about the drink special, Blood on the Tracks. It’s directly linked to the history of the building and a tasty way to wait out the train!
Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty BBQ feast, a business meeting, or just a snack, this place has it all—amazing food, great drinks, a piece of history, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s one of those spots that’ll have you planning your return before you even leave.
I ordered the brisket, potato salad and french fries. The potato salad is HEAVY on the mustard and was actually hard for me to finish due to how sour it was. The fries were a little overcooked, but tasted fine. The brisket was great and their spicy BBQ sauce is awesome!
Not my favorite restaurant experience, but I’ll come back and try something different next time!
Came in last night (saturday) around 8pm and we were the only table in there. I had had a very very very long day and did not want to cook ans I wanted a drink and we have been here before and it wasn’t bad so we decided to go again. Came in sat down and no one greeted us for a few minutes. We had to ask for menus. I asked for a drink menu. We ordered our drinks our food and appetizers all at once. We got the appetizers before our drinks and boyfriend had to ask for our drinks. He got his drink. I was still waiting on my margarita. We waited. My boyfriend finished his drink and being tired of waiting for the server to come back by I got up and got his refill myself. Then our food came out. Me still not having a drink. We asked for my drink and thw server went behind the bar and asked one of the cooks to help him make the margarita. This kid couldn’t have been old enough to serve alcohol. Still no margarita. So I said scratch that and give me a Pepsi. My meal was halfway finished and I was thirsty. I paid the second I got my drink because I just wanted out of their.
Beyond the service being bad the food was nowhere near as good as before. It was super dry and hard to even enjoy.
This is a shame because this place has such a good atmosphere and marietta doesn’t have much. Get it together before you lose it
We look forward to visiting again.
