Great place. As an aviation crew member, we didn’t get into town until around midnight. We were so appreciative to find out there were food options like The Varsity Truck that had dougnuts, corn dogs, and even a mac n cheese grilled cheese sandwich. Definitely recommend stopping by here if and when they are open. We landed on Saturday, right before midnight. So, not sure of business hours if they’re open during the entire week or only the weekend. Either way, make an effort to try this place out for yourself. Fast, friendly service and great tasting food.

The Varsity Truck is a unique spot in MHK. It’s fun taking the alley shortcut, a little on edge, to turn to see a hole-in-the-wall hangout. The lights, graffiti, stickers, music, make for a sweet surprise. The food truck has yummy eats, such as fresh donuts and grilled cheese mac n cheese. While it’s popularly known as ‘drunk food’ it is also the perfect environment for a quick bite & catching up in the late hours.

We have had super awesome donuts from here every time we visit Manhattan… This time we kicked it up a notch and got hot fresh donuts with a box of (10) corn dogs that were about to feed a Small army of drinkers at the bar. They made them fresh to order and the taste was simply heavenly. I do appreciate that made them fresh and let us know the amount of time it would take. The wait is way worth it. If YOU are in the area this is a must stop. I can’t wait to visit again!

After devouring their Mac ‘n’ Cheese Grilled Cheese, I understand why this place is so popular among college students! The college Nestrogela is real. I’m too old to be blacked out or stumbling around and needing a life jacket. However, if my college town had the Varsity Donut Food Truck, it could have saved me a few nights!

Varsity donuts truck may have limited hours, but it is a perfect night gig in cozy Aggieville. After drinks at one of the bars, stop here for a delicious corn dog (with mustard!) and a party box of donut holes to share with friends. It is a Manhattan tradition, and a delightful alleyway walk. If you’re into geocaching, there are often caches hidden not far, if you know where to look… 😉

Their Mac and Cheese grilled cheese sandwich is amazing! They have donuts, corn dogs, and several other items.
It is in a good spot to walk to after a drink or two. If you had no drinks the sandwich I referenced earlier would still be good. The prices are good for the food received.

They have the best food for those out late in aggieville. After places shut down, this truck is still open serving some delicious comfort food. Grilled cheeses mac and cheese is my favorite. I recently found out you can add bacon and or a corn dog to the inside of the grilled cheese mac and cheese, and while it sounds outlandish, it was delicious and I fully recommend trying it.
