So much to choose from…. Delicious drinks, pastries, scrumptious entrees.
Our wonderful waitress Emily helped us decide and she was spot on! We loved our meal. Ordered take-out the following day.

Traveling for work and found the vanilla bean on Google, glad I stopped in. Full disclosure, I do not drink coffee and cannot speak to that side of the place. I tried the Monte Cristo, made with French bread. Got the lunch half sandwich and side for $10. Everything was good. I’m going to return to try a wrap that the server recommended, and I’ll update the review. Nice place right outside the local college.

My daughter and I are traveling across the country. We were lucky enough to find Vanilla Bean! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and friendly service! There are small cozy rooms along with curtained private alcoves.

I’m riding from washington state to North Carolina on my motorcycle. Stopped in for a breakfast bagel and something sweat. Amazing food. I got this oatmeal cream pie cookie to go. All day taking little bites wishing I would have grabs more. So good

So great we came back the next day. Would highly recommend for dinner AND breakfast! The bloody Mary bar and charcuterie are fantastic! So are the desserts. Most are made by the owners wife. We met the owner and he was so nice and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our visit here. Service, ambiance, food, I give all 5 stars!

Passing through Alva on our way to a state park for camping, and stopped at Vanilla Bean for coffee. Was pleasantly surprised to see how well they are able to utilize their small space & staff. Cozy space and atmosphere. We were greeted with a full kitchen, bakery, and bar. Our party had the monte christo sandwich with house made mac & cheese that was to die for, tomato basil soup with bacon avocado grilled cheese, and a club wrap. We also got one of their giant, fresh made cinnamon rolls to go. Definitely recommend for a pit stop or a tasty lunch/dinner option.

Cute cafe and restaurant located on the highway. Tastefully decorated rooms inside and a spacious (covered) outside patio provide plenty of seating for large and small groups. Extensive menu for all day dining and a cute bar make this a great option while in Alva or traveling thru. Easy parking.
