Wow, not many word can describe our first experience at The Valley, even on opening night we didn’t wait more than 20 minutes, service was on point, food was excellent, and the owners took care of every table in the place. The place is very well done. Great people with smiles on their faces. Will be back soon to try more and more items on the menu. All the poultry is from Bell&Evans, everything fried on 100% Beef Tallow.

They give you large portions. Classy yet casual atmosphere. This is the type of place the area needed.

This place is beautiful inside and they’ve done an amazing job renovating. I wanted to love it so much because it’s a convenient location to me and has a great food and drink menu. However, the service was terrible. We had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for our drinks and they brought out the wrong food twice. The food was also pretty terrible and this is coming from someone who is usually not picky at all. The wings tasted so cheap like they were fake chicken. I’m going to hope that these are growing pains and this place will continue to improve with time because it has a lot of potential!

The service was good. The atmosphere was ok. We were glad we were in the side area- much less noise. The menu really had no pizazz. Nothing in seafood and the other stuff you can find anywhere. The total cost was reasonable.

The Valley Bar & Grill is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new additions to the Lower Heidelberg dining scene. It’s the kind of place that feels instantly familiar — warm lighting, friendly staff, and a menu that leans into comfort food without cutting corners. The prices are refreshingly reasonable for the quality you get, which makes it even easier to settle in and enjoy the experience.

I started with the roast beef sandwich, and it was the kind of plate that tells you the kitchen actually cares. The beef was tender and moist, with that slow‑cooked richness that hits you before the first bite. The seasoning was balanced, not salty or overdone, and the bread held up perfectly without getting soggy. The fries deserve their own shout‑out — crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, and seasoned just right. They’re the kind of fries you keep eating even after you’re full.

What really stood out, though, was the overall vibe. The service was genuinely friendly, not forced, and the staff seemed proud of what they’re serving. It’s the kind of energy that makes you want to come back before you’ve even left.

And I will be. Next Friday, I’m heading back specifically for the wings. I’m a wing connoisseur — I take them seriously — and I’ve been hearing a lot of hype about theirs. If they’re anywhere near the level of that roast beef and those fries, I’m expecting something special.

If you’re in the area, The Valley Bar & Grill is absolutely worth a visit. Great food, great people, and a promising new spot that feels like it’s only going to get better.
