Fantastic lunch! Very happy from start to finish. Our server was wonderful. Food was hot and fresh and flavorful. The chicken on the chicken spiedie sandwich was really really good. char grilled with great flavor. The beef on other sandwich was really delicious too. Overall great!

Overpriced and underwhelmed…those boozy shakes sound and look so good and are so tempting but at $16 each with very little milkshake and a whole lot of whipped cream, beware! Only a third of the glass was milkshake, the rest was whipped cream. The chocolate with sprinkles on the glass is hard chocolate and couldn’t even be chiseled off with a fork or knife to enjoy so it went to waste. The embellishments are a nice touch and are all edible but the Oreos were stale.

The Tavern burger is $22 and it comes with fries. The fries were good (nice and crispy) but the burger was dry. It cost us $78 (with tip) for two burgers and one milkshake. We each had water. The ambience is nice but the food is not very good. You are better off going to the buffet just down the stairs for the same price and it is much more satisfying. Do better Upstate Tavern!

We visited this restaurant during a blizzard to feed our kids, but the staff was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. They claimed to have only one waitress and refused to seat us, even though we saw at least three waitresses and no customers (I’ve included pictures). Later, the manager said we could get seated, and to our surprise, there were about six or seven waitresses and a few bartenders.

As I was passing by the bar, two waitresses (I’ve included their pictures) were making nasty comments about our family with kids. One of them openly displayed her attitude towards us. Our kids were hungry and upset, and we had a terrible experience.

Our check was over $1,500, and they charged us 20% in tips. I guess the stuff okay about our money even though they ruined our day at the beginning.

They didn’t want to take our orders, finally two girls (Amy and Emily) took our orders and they actually were the only ones who were professional and nice, I hope they got all the tips, not the rest of the snakes.

The food was okay, but the portions were extremely small for the kids. If it weren’t for the blizzard and our hungry kids, we would never have stepped foot in this place again.

On 10/09, I visited Upstate Tavern with three family members, and we had a wonderful time! I would like to acknowledge our server, Armin, for his outstanding service and his excellent recommendation of the Steak Frites. To the rest of the team, thank you for preparing our meals and drinks perfectly! We also greatly appreciate the gluten-free options on the menu—a family member with a gluten allergy ordered and enjoyed the New York Maple Glazed Salmon without any issues.

The food is great. The servers are very pleasant and obliging and helpful . The fact that this restaurant is in the middle of a casino, but up on a level makes it more of its own experience rather than just part of a food court.

Been here multiple times and the food is always good and the service attentive, but not overbearing. Great and accommodating for dining as a couple, a family, or larger group of 10-12. The beef on weck is absolutely outstanding and highly recommended! Fish fry and meatloaf are also excellent choices. Solid selection of drinks available and the bar has a nice layout.

We were at Turning Stone for a concert and decided to dine here. And so glad we did. Everything about our experience was top notch. We selected this option because it looked fun and we weren’t in the mood for anything fancy. There was a wait, about an hour, to get a table. The gentleman who took our information was welcoming and knowledgeable. They texted us when our table was ready and the same gentleman quickly seated us. This establishment has a fun and warm atmosphere, a sports bar feel. But we felt it was nicer than your typical sports bar. And I will say this very clearly: loved how clean this place was. That says a lot about a place, and, sadly, these days you don’t always get that everywhere. Our server was excellent! She left us waiting for nothing! And, again, we appreciated that because great service is not that common these days. But our server was on it. Her recommendations were great, she knew the specials well and was able to offer informed opinions.

The food: we started with the poutine as an appetizer and it was delicious! The portion was so generous that we probably could have just had that as our meal. For our main selections, my wife had the Cobb Salad and I had the Shaved Beef on Weck. Both were excellent, both were very generous portions. We would have loved dessert, because the ones we saw other diners enjoying looked great, but we were full.

Something that really stood out: towards the end of our meal, a well dressed gentleman approached us and politely asked how everything was. I’m assuming he was the manager. We told him we were pleased with everything and he thanked us. Now, we really appreciated that, because that doesn’t happen at most other establishments. That is a sign that a place really cares about, and works hard to please, its customers.

To sum up: this place is great, delivered in all the ways we value, and is fairly priced to boot! Highly recommend!

Great food and service! I visited twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. The wait staff was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was friendly and prompt. All dishes were delicious!! For dinner I enjoyed the New York Maple Glazed Salmon (description)Spice Rubbed Atlantic Salmon, Potato Corn Hash, Lemon
I also ordered a side of the truffle fries, which were fantastic! For lunch, I ordered a burger, but I never took a picture.

I love this restaurant , and usually eat here when I’m in the area visiting my parents. I like the wide menu selection and the rotating selection of seasonal draft beers. They usually have pretty good daily specials to mix up the menu also. My go to choices – hot spinach dip , Cobb salad, and chicken Rochester. Portions are large !

My husband and I visited here twice during our end of December stay at Turning Stone.
The end of our 1st night included a stop for this phenomenonal Chocolate Toffee Brownie Sundae. I am a huge dessert person, and this was everything I hoped for and more. Definitely big enough for 2 to share.
The following day, we came back for lunch. I ordered the corn chowder to start. Absolutely delicious! Thick and creamy, great consistency. Hubby ordered the Tavern Signature Burger, and I got the Tavern Everything Melt. We shared both sandwiches plus the fries (1 regular and 1 truffle). He absolutely loved the whiskey glaze on the burger, and I thought the Melt was amazing. Truly great food that was absolutely worth the money.
We visited literally right after the Christmas holiday, and it seemed like they were short-staffed. Kudos to the staff for keeping everything running smoothly. Front of house was moving quickly to attend to the tables, back of house was doing all they could to put food out without losing quality, and the manager took off his suit jacket to help clean and set tables. Obviously, great leadership and hard-working employees.
Thank you for 2 great experiences. We will be back on our next stay!
