I have given this place a few tries before leaving a review. The good: Love this atmosphere and location. Great seating for meeting with friends. The Meh: I am a coffee snob so I always have grace for all locally-owned establishments. Each coffee creation I’ve purchased just wasn’t great. It’s fine, but for my daily, I am literally now going over to OnCue where I can get the fresh ground dark roast beans for a truly rich and very hot coffee. And now for the Needs a Lot of Improvement: Service. I really wonder if the owners hate me or if they are just not morning people? LOL. The facial expressions and lack of warmth is so uncharacteristic for this town. (reminds me of the east coast). I am still going to come here to meet up with friends and give my support because the location is perfect. But warm, human connection would go a long way.

Nice little coffee shop in MWC. They have some fun names and flavors of coffees. There are some private seating areas. Clean place. I got the Lumberjack. It was good. I would definitely come here for a coffee to.chill or read or hang out with friends. Service was fine. Coffee was good. Cool little place.

Have ordered dozens of drinks over the years, here. Really unfortunate that they wouldn’t honor the free rewards drink. I understand it’s an old card. I also understand that there is NO expiration date on the card. The agreement was, buy 10 drinks, get 1 free. I kept my end of the bargain. Underground didn’t. And it was for a small drink that I tried to exchange it for! Even more unnerving was being asked if I would like to give my number for the new rewards program. “NO!”, I said. “They wouldn’t keep their word with the last rewards program, why would I get tricked a second time?” Sip local, get slighted, I guess. Had I been a manager, I would have minimally offered a couple extra credits on the new system- at least something to incentivize someone with whom you are breaking your deal. I wouldn’t turn away a customer that has bought dozens of drinks and brought guests there over the years. On principle, I believe in keeping agreements.

Hands down the best breve in okc/mwc area with a lower price AND a 24 ounce option. They even sell used books and nice seating. 5 stars across the board.

Atmosphere is cool, there was quite a few people in there doing work/homework on their laptops. I had the caramel specialty drink. I should have gotten half sweet because it is super sweet (which I did ask about and she said that it wasn’t THAT sweet). I also had a ham, egg, and cheese croissant. My friends got sausage breakfast sandwiches that they loved. They also got frozen specialty drinks. 3 sandwiches and 3 drinks was $32 and some change then tipped $3! The sandwiches stole the show taste wise, although, there was only like 1-2 slices of ham on mine so it’s not very filling! If the portions were bigger and the lady that took my order had advised me correctly on the sweetness, I would give it a 5 star! Almost forgot to take a pic so it’s not the best picture but it shows that the portions are just not enough for the price!

Mrs. Flip Out had heard good things about The Underground and finally had the chance to go. She said it was a very spacious, quiet, pleasant atmosphere. She got a 12 oz cold brew and chicken salad croissant sandwich. Both were great and she enjoyed them. She noticed a “members only” sign on one door and asked one of the baristas about it. She took Mrs. Flip Out next door and showed her the office space that The Underground has for hourly or daily rental. They offer several meeting rooms and single desk spaces. For remote work or team building meeting, Mrs. Flip Out thought this would be an awesome option if you’re in the east OKC metro area. A neat coffee place for any occasion!

Stopped in our way to Arkansas. This coffee shop is amazing. Some of the best lattes we’ve had on our travels. Friendly staff and plenty of seating. Make sure you try a raspberry white chocolate scone!

The coffee at this establishment is excellent. The employees provided us with superior customer service during our visit. We didn’t have any food during our visit just iced coffee.
The atmosphere is good for sitting and enjoying a good cup of Java. The meeting is plentiful and comfortable.
If you haven’t tried The Underground Coffee I’d highly recommend doing so if you want coffee in Midwest City. Do yourself a favor skip Starbucks and go to The Underground Coffee, you won’t be disappointed.
