Quaint Cafe in the basement of an historic church building, serving classic American Fare. Our Executive Chef has added his touch to classic Cafe menu items. But his passion is in creating delicious food that will bring people together. We take pride in the quality of our locally sourced ingredients that make up the delicious food we serve. Come downstairs and enjoy your food in either the cafe, head outside to enjoy the fresh air on our patio or hang out in the game room where we have pinball, pool and various board games. All of the Cafe’s profits serve the Alano Club of Salt Lake, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in recovery.

Great little hole in the wall cafe! I stopped by on a friday afternoon for a very delicious bacon burger and fries. Really quality fresh made food, and everyone there was super friendly.

The Underground Cafe @ Alano is one of the absolute best hole in the walls I have ever been to. High quality ingredients, generous portions and a twist on American classics make this place a must. Very kind and attentive staff. Perfect place to take the family anytime but especially after church on Sundays. Fantastic place to meet like minded individuals who are also in recovery.

I have never had a Philly cheese steak sandwich that was so fresh and delicious. Not only is this the best hole in the wall restaurant I have yet to find but all their food is FRESH! Like actually fresh, as in the meat and produce is sourced here in utah and that’s big for me, you can definitely taste it in the food. I always ask where people source their meat from and restaurants never know or it’s a junk place that sells processed meat. The owner was out cooking in the kitchen and answered my questions without hesitating. 11/10 reccomend will be coming back here at least once a week.

Pull up to the church and head downstairs. The restaurant is down the hall. Hole in the wall place complete with regulars, surprisingly good coffee and food, and a great purpose (sobriety). Highly recommend.
