This local restaurant has a nice, friendly atmosphere and serves some pretty good seafood boils. The shrimp are always fresh and flavorful, and the potatoes are my favorite part, usually mash them up a bit so they can soak up all that tasty sauce. I used to always go for the Cajun seasoning, but lately I’ve been loving the garlic sauce it’s rich, full of flavor, and just a little less salty, which makes it perfect. It’s a great spot to relax, enjoy a satisfying meal, and get your seafood fix without breaking the bank.

Best boil bag joint in the dmv. Food was hot fresh and fast to the table. The highlight of my visit was Mika! Omg she need to be here everyday! She was nice , knowledgeable and so very helpful. Shot out to her ! Will be back soon !

Typical seafood boil restaurant with the normal options. If not into boil bags, there are other options such as fried fish and shrimp baskets and wings. Service was slow and we had to wait for basic things which was frustrating. If you don’t ask, you won’t get so be sure to ask.

Faith was a great server! She was super sweet, very attentive, and nice. She brought us our drinks in to go cups which i loved because we were walking and I wanted a drink. She checked ok us regularly without being over bearing. Most of all she had a positive attitude and did not seem at any point that she didn’t want to be there. This is a great quality because most people at their job look and make it known they themselves dont want to be there. Food was eh, to be honest the muscles were not good at all I had about 4 out of the half of pound I ordered. The shrimp seemed old. Overall the service was great food not so great.

This was my second time coming here and overall, the food was great as always but the hospitality was lack luster.
Pros – Food was great and they have weekly specials which is great for a large party. Unlimited refill on soft beverages
Cons – Service was not great and our waitress seemed she was about done for the evening as she barely paid us any attention. Once our meals were served, we were not able to get her again for refills and had to ask another server who also acknowledged our request but never acted on it. Lol.
I do hope the owners pay more attention to training their staff to be more hospitable.

Boil was ok. Cajun sauce was pretty good but didn’t seep into the seafood. You know when you can taste the water it was steamed in… yeah tasted that in the crab legs. Was cooked well though. Potatoes were nice and soft, corn was corn. Shrimp was pretty good & green mussels were ok
Spicy honey wings were really good.
Total price around $50
All in all, probably wouldn’t go back. It was a nice experience, the food just isn’t worth another visit.

I love Twisted Crab. My usual location is Virginia Beach – so imagine my excitement when I was on vacation back here on the East Side of the country. Since we are too far from VAB while visiting DC…this was the best bet.
Upfront staff were fine – the others were clearly bored, but our server was more unprofessional. I don’t care to mention her name as we are only here visiting.
The food was still good! I still recommend their sauce mixed in the rice!
Our server could have still visited the table when my husband was at the restroom so I could have paid the check. Instead, was unprofessional when he left the restroom.

Service and atmosphere was nice. However, the food questionable. We got 3 orders of crab fries and no one finished it. The fries did not taste like they were made fresh. All the food came out so fast. It did appear to be made fresh. That items were just tossed in a sauce and brought out. I don’t know if we would return.

Pretty good food. I came right when they opened at noon. The server was polite and friendly. Food was hot and seasoned well, for my taste.
