The Turtle Gelateria is an award winning Italian Ice Cream shop, Chocolatier and bakery located in historic downtown Brownwood. The owner makes over 60 different flavors of gelatos and sorbettos to display in their 12 pan case. Tasting is encouraged. Gelato is available to take home by the liter. A portable party case is available for rent which will hold up to 4 different flavors.

This place was a wonderful surprise. It is not for everyone, as it is sophisticated and unique. The service and atmosphere are excellent, warm, and down-to-earth. The food is prepared with great care and attention to nuance, which makes it very special in this market. While it does have a relaxed feel, the menu is anything but run of the mill. They have a wonderful variety of wine and beer. Desserts are fantastic.
