Finding authentic Bengali food 7,000 miles away from home was an incredible experience. Every dish I tried was a treat, cooked to absolute perfection. My favorites were the Kachori, Kosha Mangsho, and Rasgulla. The Gurer Rasgullas were truly exceptional—the best I’ve had in Washington! They had a melt-in-the-mouth texture with perfectly balanced flavors. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you’re craving a taste of Bengal.

It’s very hard to find a good Bengali restaurant outside of Bengal especially in the U.S so I was excited to try this place after a few friends recommended it.
The first time we went was during lunch on a weekend and that experience wasn’t great because it was very crowded and the staff was finding it difficult to keep up.
We went back after a few months for a weekday dinner and we really enjoyed the food this time. We got the happy hour fish pakoras and Bira combo, the fish fry, mochar chop and the Kolkata style goat biriyani. They were all really good. The chop and fish fry come with a side of Kasundi which is very uniquely Bengali and I highly recommend trying the Mochar (Banana flower) chop.

Really nice place in a prime location in Kirkland. We happened to come here when it was less busy than usual and both the host and chef were really welcoming. Had a great convo with the chef. Fun-fact learnt that the chef used to work at Lake Palace a premiere luxury resort in Udaipur, India.

Wonderfully unique Bengali (east-India) menu, which is quite different from typical Indian restaurants. They had a ton of vegetarian options. Strongly recommend their street-food section – chowmein, momos. And their desserts are offbeat and taste really amazing too! Must-try!

I am so happy that this restaurant opened a couple of months ago. We have done take outs two times and loved the food. Today I went for dine in lunch with my family and my friend and we loved all the food we ordered. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The chef, Sujoy, came to our table personally and spoke to us. We could clearly see his passion for food and you can taste it in every dish you order. We ordered Mangshor chop, fish fry, paturi. Kosha mangsho, Naan and gurer roshogolla. Each and every item tasted fantastic !! I am so happy that such a great restaurant opened near us and that too for Bengali cuisine which was greatly needed. Sharing some pics – missed taking the one for mangshor chop as was too busy eating . Do give this restaurant a try if you haven’t already and you will keep going back for more .

Craving for traditional Bengali food ? Look no further. This restaurant offers Kolkata classics like fish chop, ghughuni, biriyani, Nolan gud rasgulla, etc. my favorite selection from the menu is the Kisha Mangsho i.e slow cooked mutton or goat. This is a traditional north Kolkata dish that is beautifully recreated here. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. The prices are reasonable with a lot of vegetarian options as well. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant.

A must try….Delicious, authentic and unique! Every dish was made with attention to detail and it’s the best Bengali Indian food in Seattle hands down! Favorites were the fish fry, Kolkata style Biryani, golbarir Mangsho, dim er devil and the gur er roshogolla. Will definitely be back for more

A great restaurant with Bengali dishes. We tried a bit of everything, breads are great, shrimp curry was my favorite. My friends complained about the portion size which looked ok to me.

We ordered Mutton biriyani and kolkata style fish kalia. Mutton biriyani was really good and very close to Bangladeshi style kacchi biriyani (Minus the too much golap jol) and fish kalia was good too. 3 piece kalia was worth the price. Will surely try few more times to explore other items.

2nd review = We tried their gola barir kosha mangsho, kacchi biriyani and double taal tadka. My rating would be 7.5/10.

3rd Review = Went to the store and tried their Daal tarka, mutton biriyani and tea. Food was delicious. 9/10

Been here a couple of times and also brought friends along and all of us loved the Bengali food we tried here.
We are vegetarians and had the following dishes here, all of which we liked:
1. Mochar chop (cutlets made with Banana flowers) served with Bengal style mustard sauce
2. Calcutta style Aloo dum Kachori
3. Gur (jaggery) rasgulla made with the authentic Norel gur (date palm jaggery): served warm
4. Kolkatta style tadka daal (served with rice)

The place & the vibe were pretty good and it was highly recommended by friends for its Bengali food.

I wasn’t very impressed with the food. A part of the reason could be that their vegetarian options weren’t really Bengali cuisine; however, Bengali cuisine has great meat- & fish-based dishes and Turmeric Kitchen seems popular for it! The vegetarian options were more general North Indian food. I ordered the Mochar Chop – it was good and I’d recommend it. My only complaint is that it’d have been better with some mustard chutney(Kasundi) as opposed to straight up Dijon mustard!
I tried the Gobi Manchurian from the specials – it was really delicious!

I really wish they’d serve more Bengali options for the vegetarian sections. But, don’t let that hold you back from giving this place a try – especially if you eat meat and fish!
