Today was my first day visiting gig harbor and we just decided to stop somewhere for a quick lunch and it was so lucky we stopped here. Today just happened to be their first day opening for the season! I got the fish and chips and my partner got the cod sandwich and both of us were BLOWN AWAY. The fish batter was so light and crispy and the seasoning on the fries was perfect! And the tartar sauce was legitimately the best tartar sauce I’ve ever had. My partner also loved their sandwich. The owner was super friendly and helpful and gave us amazing customer service. The place was also really cute with lots of covered seating near the marina with a park right next door. We will definitely make a point to return soon to try their Jerk Chicken and Caribbean Crab Cakes! If you are in the area you will not be disappointed!

The burgers here were good but messy. They should make the patties a bit smaller in my opinion, it’s a bit too “heavy” for the burger.
Clam chowder was pretty basic.

Delicious food. Can take it up the block to the park or sit in the front.
Note: closed from December 21st through March something. So 3/4 of the year, great find!

Fun and delicious trolley spot we stopped for lunch!
Reasonably priced and worth the 20 minute wait for 5 fresh cooked meals.
Kids food was surprisingly not “kid-sized” portions and delicious. The halibut sandwich and fish and chips were fantastic as well.

Love everything that I’ve ordered here!! Would recommend calling ahead as orders usually take 20-30 minutes; love to grab a drink at the taproom right next door while waiting! The chicken salad and wild salmon salad were both great, and the fettuccine is always incredible!

This place was great! It’s an easy walk from anywhere downtown and especially good for a quick pit stop. We both got the Cubano and were very pleased. Lot of flavor! The French fries were also very good! The whole scene is cute and the actual trolly car there is just fun!
It’s easily accessible from the street and there shouldn’t be any issues for people with mobility concerns! Parking might seem like a nightmare but there are two spots directly in front of the trolley on the road. They are saved for Trolly customers!!

Relaxed outdoor seating with upbeat music. Everything is made from scratch and it shows in the final product. Creamy flavorful clam chowder. Hand dipped fish, fries with a little extra something. I will be back to try a Cuban sandwich and the crab cakes.

Fish sandwich is excellent, however, it is a tiny filet and doesn’t even cover half the bun.

Chicken sandwich is flavorful, but very small chicken breast. Doesn’t even cover half the bun.

Turkey and Swiss sandwich. 3 slices of looks like Costco turkey and no Swiss cheese on it. Nothing special. Don’t waste your money on it.

Over cooked crinkle cut fries.

Service is great. Very friendly and enjoyable. Long wait always for your food. Typically, at least 39 minutes. Tables are typically filthy.

I wouldn’t go back. I have tried it twice now.

I love the Trolley at the Boatyard! You can choose to sit at one of their many picnic benches and eat but I like to order my food and go next door to Evergreen State Brewing and enjoy a nice cold beer while I wait for my order.
The owner, Carlen, gives me a call when it’s ready to be picked up.
My favorites are the burger and fries (the fries stay crispy until they’re gone), and the chicken fettuccine is the best I’ve ever had! The sauce is creamy, and I love the veggies mixed in with it! Genuinely friendly, enthusiastic service and delicious food in gorgeous downtown Gig Harbor!
Don’t just take my word for it give The Trolley a try for yourself.
