The best item we had was the Thursday Cinnamon Roll that is complimentary! Homemade and delicious! Service was good, we had a new waiter, he did good, learning and we did not mind. We had the French dip with homemade chips to start, it was fantastic. The ribeye was cooked as requested and had a nice char. The chicken fried steak was good, not the best I’ve had. The cream gravy was a little bland. Overall, it was a nice birthday meal, not sure if I’d return after getting the bill and seeing a $4 surcharge for using a card without being notified.

taste and omg….. the best I ever had. I ended up ordering catfish with sauce on top of a bed of rice…. It was so delicious ❤️Everyone was so delightful. The only thing I would recommend is to have better drinks. I’m still giving 5✨ because they deserve it.

I don’t know how this restaurant has ever gotten a bad review. The owners are present every time we go, they are attentive and kind. The waitstaff is professional and efficient, they take great care of their patrons. The food is WONDERFUL. 5 stars over and over again!

We’ve been here a few times and it’s always a bet dark in there.
We always order steaks, but I wanted to do little different and ordered ribeye pork.
The pork was kinda dry and didn’t come with sauce to prevent the dryness of the meat.
I cook at home regularly, so I don’t like it when a good meat goes to waste…
My husband enjoyed his steak though!lol The steak was nice and juicy, not to mention it was tender❤️ It was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked.
And of course, the fried green tomato!! It’s always to great appetizer to order. I highly recommend for everybody to try.
One downfall of this visit was that our waitress was too busy chatting with her co-workers, we had to wait a little ti get her attention to refill our drinks.

We found this restaurant online and decided to check it out. The atmosphere was nice. We were seated next to the brick oven which was very cool. Our waitress Addi was very sweet and attentive. The food was great. I had the fried chicken and it was delicious. Another in our party had the sirloin and they said it was cooked to perfection. The owner Martin was great and made sure we were taken care of. If you’re looking for an upscale experience in Lumberton this is the place! Good job!

This was my first time visiting The Tree. We went with coupe of friend to try it out.
We were not disappointed at all. Steak was so tender. Bread pudding and creme brûlée were very good. Service and food were outstanding. We will be returning soon, with more friends and family. This is our new favorite spot in SETX.

We went to the tree tonight, and were promptly seated, however being seated was the fastest thing of the night. Our server Mia, although kind took an extremely long time for everything. Not sure if she was overwhelmed but drinks, appetizer, ordering our food took FOREVER. We ordered a burger & I had a steak. Both were good, however I requested my steak medium and it was extremely rare. I had to send it back, which took almost 10 minutes for her to come back to tell her there was an issue plus more waiting on me for it to be cooked again. Once it was corrected, the food was great! My husband enjoyed his burger and the steak was good, and so were the sides! The biggest issue was waiting for our check, it took almost 30 minutes for her to bring it to us, then another 10 of waiting for her to come back and process it. Needless to say, if we do come back we will definitely choose a different server who can handle the fast paced environment or choose a less busy night.

Amazing restaurant and amazing food. The owner, Martin Riley is the grill master and our ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection! Love the way they are cooked over the smoky coals.
The green beans were very flavorful and firm; not overcooked. The fried green tomato caprese was cooked extremely well and was very tasty!
Highly recommend for excellent food and great service.

Found this place the day before I left to work out of town 2 weeks ago and all I been thinking is I can’t wait to get back! The steaks are hand cut and grilled over and open fire pit, so flavorful! And the chicken fried steak was a beast! The flavor the breading was on point! The owners and staff was super cool and friendly! It’s a must try!
