Great location right on 31. Huge portions of your normal bar/restaurant fare. The fish tacos were a bit salty but everything else was pretty tasty.
They had a really varied selection of NA Beers as well.

We ordered dinner here today for the first time and it was mediocre at best. I ordered online for take out, Saturday around 4:20, arrived at 5:10 to pick up. Got an buffalo chicken dip appetizer, a bacon cheeseburger provolone cheese, mustard, pickles and lettuce, a Jimmy burger with only American cheese, 2 gyros and a sicilian pizza with 1/2 pepperoni. All burgers were to be cooked thoroughly. All meals came with fries and a pickle spear. Parking was rough. There’s like maybe 7 spaces by the building? I went in to get my food and I was directed to the bar. Had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to appear. She went to collect my order and packed it while I waited. I got in the car and counted my items, everything was there. After my 35 minute drive home I was very disappointed. The gyro meals were fine, not many veggies to be found and the container of tzatziki sauce is tiny, like a couple table spoons maybe… Tiny. So they’re pretty dry, but there is a good portion of meat on them. The fries were good! My son didnt like the bacon cheeseburger, he said it was too greasy. Also they put mayonnaise on it instead of mustard, he hates mayonnaise. My other son who is autistic wouldn’t touch his Jimmy burger because despite me ordering it well done and plain, they put lettuce, tomato, onion and mayonnaise on it. I scraped everything off and cut it into bite size pieces for him just to see the whole burger was pink inside. And not a pickle spear to be found for anybof the meals! They put 8 mini pepperoni on half of a large pizza… like what? The buffalo chicken dip was ok but not something I would go out of my way to get. The Trail Side is too far from home for me to call and complain because I’m not taking another hour+ to get new food… Just take the loss and not go back.

The trailside seems to be a mix of a local pub and a sports bar. Located near the trail in Collensburg Or West Newton,PA. This eatery seems to do well but parking can be adventurous.

Trailside has many local and sports related items on its walls. A mixture of high and low tables with a few booths. It’s a clean restaurant with plenty of lights so you feel safe ordering as well as being there at night.

Food came quickly, apps were pricey for what you recieve but they were good. All of the sandwich options revolved around local town names which I thought was a nice touch.

So the Rostraver Ruben was slightly above average with chips 12.99 was about $2 over priced. The Magladon Fish, was a flakey but what set it off was the jalapeño tater. I also add onion and American cheese. It does come with fries for 16.99 I did not receive my fries for some reason but it was discounted. The bun was more of a French roll and was very large.

In all its a good place with nice staff. Food is near average but a return trip will be required. I suggest you try it for yourself it gets 3 stars today.

I don’t think I was quite fair to this place when I stopped here the first time. I was unimpressed by the menu and it had been probably about a year since I’ve been back in. So I decided to give it a go again.

While I was there, there was an accident in the parking lot. The first person outside to make sure everyone was okay was the bartender Allison. I didn’t get to see much of the situation but a lot of the staff went out to see if they could help. And that’s the type of people that you would want to be around. So 50/10 for the amazing staff who dropped everything to make sure that there was no one hurt outside or needed any help.

Having such a huge deal of something go on during my visit kind of makes the taste of the food pale in comparison. But I do have to say that the food was very good and I finished every bite.

I guess my first stop by wasn’t really representative of what this place can be like.

We had a excellent lunch. There was no crowd at 4pm. We were told to seat ourselves and we had a delicious meal. Everyone liked what we ordered. Food came fast and was reasonably priced. I loved the coleslaw and my hamburger

Stopped here on our trip from downtown Pittsburgh to Ohiopyle on the GAP. My bike needed some minor work and the bike shop repaired it for a reasonable price while we ate lunch upstairs. We were also able to charge our ebike batteries while there. Great food, great service. Highly recommend

This place deserves 5 stars for the convenient trail access and the fairly extensive menu. The day I visited, they had a free water cooler outside for people to fill water bottles from. The food was decent.

This used to be one of our go to places, but the most recent visit was beyond mediocre. I had fish tacos that seemed to be missing the fish. They were out of the coleslaw they usually used and substituted either a spoon of cabbage COVERED in the sauce. My nieces Chix was dry and this was after waiting 45 mins for the food to come. Didn’t think of it at the time I wish I had taken a pic of the tacos. They shouldn’t have served them. AND I should have sent them back.

Nice spot to stop for lunch on our ride to Ohiopyle. Fast and very friendly service. Food was quite good. Sat outside on the beautiful deck. Filled our water bottles. Parking for bikes down below the deck at the bike shop.
