Went here for the first time for Valentine’s Day dinner special two filets with salad and a milkshake for $110. We were very excited for the roof top views which did not disappoint.
Started off with 2 Tito’s dirty martini’s which were ok. Nothing special about them and they were not filled to the brim of the glass or at least pretty close. First red flag since you are paying a decent price for cocktails there.
Next my wife ordered a pear martini a signature cocktail from the same girl bartender. It seemed like she was a newer bartender as the head/manager Tye was floating behind the bar. We got the pear martini and my wife took one sip and could not take another. I took a sip and there was zero pear flavor so we told the girl bartender and she took the drink back.
My wife ordered another drink from her as we now moved to our table. It was another signature drink made with bourbon. It wasn’t bad so I ordered one as well from my waitress now at my table. I got the same drink my wife made and it was so much better and balanced than my wife’s. My thought was this was made by Tye the head bartender manager.
We moved on to ordering our steak dinner for two from Michelle who was really nice. They were busy but not packed. Salads came out and were fresh, but had very little if any dressing.
Our steaks came out and were a nice size and looked good. Our waitress walked away and I took one bit of the steak that had brown gravy on it. It was unbelievably salty. I thought it was the gravy and told my wife to try her gravy too. The waitress was back and my wife told her that hers was fine. The waitress took my steak with no questions and ordered me another one.
My wife then tried her steak which was also very salty. These steaks were also not very tender which you could tell when you cut them right out of the gate. The waitress came back who was very nice with my new steak. I tried that and it was also tough and salty.
At this point we were over the steaks and told Michelle we would still pay for them, but wanted to order a spicy rice dish they had on their main menu. We did so and that was pretty good. We decided to pass on the chocolate shakes and pay our bill. It did take about thirty minutes from the time we got our bill to actually get it paid. It seemed Michelle was doing about everything and there was no o e really in back to help the wait staff.
Michelle still took the steaks off our bill which was very nice of her. We still tipped on what our bill should have been with the steaks on the bill and our third meal we ordered.
Lighting on the outside tables ext to the widows was very dark. I would suggest some low lit led’s or something. Place has great potential, they just need to dial a few things in and then we would be back.

Such a fun and inviting place. The food was very good, just over priced. Our server, Michelle T. was a lot of fun and we want to give her a shout out for taking extra special care of us. A fun experience. We had the igloo outside.

Went here for food prior to seeing a concert in Rockford. We got lucky with finding seats at the bar however I definitely recommend making reservations if you have a group larger than 2 people. We sat at the bar, so we didn’t really get to experience the full view except when we walked around outside. The food was good however kind of pricey. This place makes for a swanky date night. They have premium cocktails and the food was good. They are known for “light fare” which is mostly appetizers and tapas style food. If you are looking for a full meal with sides, The Top does not offer a menu with that.

Booked a “brunch” here, even though it was at 12:30. They had a limited menu for brunch, but what they had was done done so very well. Went with my daughter and wife. We ordered one of their boards, the girls split, which had a lot of food on it. They LOVED it. I got the burger, which was done so perfectly! Our waitress was so very nice. The kitchen missed our ticket, so our order was delayed a bit. Our waitress was very apologetic and was straight-up honest on what happened. I really appreciate her honesty. It was no big deal whatsoever. We were having great conversations. The restaurant was a mix of raw walls and finished walls, done beautifully. The views were really nice. We will be back.

What a magnificent little spot right in downtown Rockford! The service was absolutely top tier, the staff there is on it! Friendly and knowledgeable, quick to make accomodations, just couldn’t ask for better.
The food? Holy moly. Think small bites so you aren’t shocked by the plates, but there’s nothing small about the flavors or the dessert! Do not skip the creme brulee cheesecake! Every bite is a treat, so even though the portions are small, the menu is dynamite!
The outdoor area is incredible with the views and the seating. Just a top-tier place all around.

We are a family who loves to have a good meal with great views.. Been to the The Signature Room in Chicago as well as Top of the World in Vegas and let me tell you this place is comparable.. Our first time going was last year for my daughter’s 16th birthday.. The views as well as the food were amazing, they even had a DJ.. Yesterday was our second time there, we made reservations online after seeing they were having Brunch with Santa..Upon arrival our reservation wasn’t found but they were kind enough to accommodate us (party of 11).. Just like last year the place, food and service was great although our food could have been warmer.. We ordered 3 boards I’m guessing by the time they finish fixing them the food gets cold especially if it’s not under a food warmer, I’m assuming that’s the case but all three were on the cooler side, still delicious just not warm.. My kids got to see Santa and take photos all while having a great meal.. I didn’t get our servers name but she was amazing.. Will definitely be back soon..

We visited here for Mother’s Day brunch, and were more than pleasantly surprised. Pricing was more than fair. We were placed in a private room, which in some cases can cause a lack of service, however the service was excellent. Food came out and was beautifully plated & tasted as good as it looked. We cannot wait to come back and try the dinner menu, and sit out on the patio. A great view of the forest city, and definitely worth checking out. You won’t be disappointed.

Service was VERY substandard. Our waitress wasn’t around often at all, we were very frequently left with empty drinks including water. She disappeared for about 20 minutes then checked on every table but us. The food was mid at best and for the price it was a joke. There are parts where it looks like a nice place, and others where you feel you’re in a cafeteria. There was no effort in any part of this experience by the staff, from the wait staff to the kitchen. There were two other tables near us that called for the manager for complaints, we chose not to and to just get the hell out of there and go somewhere else for drinks. P.S. don’t try the manhattan, the after taste will throttle you. Never again for this place but now we know.
