I really liked this spot! Recommended by a contemporary…. Chicken #1 is a big hit…. I got the burger this time around.
Honey Hot Chicken sandwich and Rice Bowl were also ordered at the table.
Certainly coming back in the future!

The hot honey chicken was good same with the milkshake. Not much to say they accepted cash, we’re nice and quick and didn’t beg for tips like some deadbeats. Price was a bit high but so am I right now so I dont mind.

I love the atmosphere of this American restaurant in the heart of Georgetown. The food tastes amazing, and the prices are reasonable! We never made a reservation when we went, but I’d recommend making one if you’re going with a group.

I’ve eaten 5 brunches here and am so impressed with the consistent quality. Everything is always cooked perfectly, from the bacon to the potatoes (home fries). Their french toast recipe is perfection. Their espresso martini is better than most. The service is always very friendly and smart–Abigail is a prime example of that high Tombs standard. As for ambiance, the old wood and warm amber glow of lights make it a cozy place. I should mention that whereas their brunch is perfect, I tried their smashburger one night and it was surprisingly poor. Not hot, not juicy. Management, please let me know if you’ve gotten your smashburger recipe ironed out. I would love to learn that The Tombs has upgraded its burger.

Love a classic Georgetown bar. The basement is decorated into a super cheery and cozy diner. Lots of specials, drink options, and the pretzel is delicious!

The Tombs is such a classic Georgetown spot—with that cozy, collegiate charm that makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. It’s got this old-school, wood-paneled vibe that’s perfect for everything from casual dinners to catching up with friends over drinks.
I stopped by for a late lunch and was really impressed. The menu has a great mix of comfort food and elevated pub fare. I ordered the Tombs burger and it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The sweet potato fries were a nice touch, too! My friend had the crab cake sandwich and loved it. Cocktails were solid—not overly complicated, just well made and refreshing.

We had dinner on Sunday. Decent crowd but were seated immediately. Our Steak Frites & Faroe Salmon were solid, but wouldn’t go out of my way for. Booth was super cramped.
