We stopped in for lunch passing through town and was greeted by a friendly bartender. The service was excellent from the beginning and the drinks were really good, but we were blown away when the food came. We ordered an appetizer sampler. The BBQ wings, the nachos, even the onion rings and fried cheese thingies were freaking amazing! I could go on and on about the nachos… the chips were an unexpected surprise. The BBQ pork was delicious. The wings were a saucy exploding of flavor and they brought wet wipes, which is a great plus in my book.
But then…. the smothered tenderloin graced us with a breading that was so damn flavorful… thick peppery gravy, and creamy smooth potatoes. I was literally dancing in my seat. The owner happened upon us and let us try the Beef Manhattan and it was extraordinary. I don’t think you could order the wrong thing. We took a tenderloin sandwich home to ensure the fun wouldn’t stop when we left the establishment.
We loved every bit. The atmosphere, the staff, the drinks, the decor. Swapping stories with the owner was an added bonus. I highly recommend visiting this fine establishment. Tell your friends.

My husband surprised me with a date night here, the staff was very friendly and answered any questions I had about the menu. I got the Jamaica mistka (or however you spell it ) and my husband got the strawberry Margarita on ice, both were pretty good, but I did like mine better. We also ordered fried pickles with ranch, those were good and we even rock, paper, scissors’d over who got the last one. ( I won) I ordered the Country gravy Manhattan with rye bread and he ordered the breaded tenderloin Manhattan with red gravy and white bread. Both of them were good, but I did like the red gravy better. We also got sugar creme and pecan pies to take home and ate later that night. Those weren’t as good as everything else, I’ve had better pies, but I’ve also had worse. Overall it was a fun experience and if we’re ever in the area again will try to stop back in

I found out about this place via Facebook in a group called “Pursuing Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches.” I was so intrigued that I went on an overnight trip with my wife so we could eat here, as well as check out other neat areas nearby that I had heard about. The time had come, and we made it! I was so excited
It’s a Pub interior, a nice one too. It’s clean and inviting with good service. My only complaint, which was fixed, was that they brought out the wrong margarita. Once I did get it it was good, though a bit weak.
We ordered the pickle chips, and those were good! Flavor was on point as was the batter, which was just the right amount. And then came the moment of truth: My entree.
I got the Breaded Tenderloin Manhattan. It was amazing, and absolutely massive! That red gravy has excellent flavor, and the Tenderloin itself is probably the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly battered and juicy throughout the whole cut, with no gristle whatsoever. It was some of the best comfort food I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Wow! My wife got the Manhattan with the country gravy. That also slaps, though we both agreed the red gravy is better
We both got pie slices for dessert. They were ok. Stick with their signature, the pork Tenderloin

Was in town for a golf tournament in Yorktown and stayed at The Plum House. Went here after the round and we really enjoyed the food! Samantha was our server and she made sure that my son always had plenty of lemonade.
Burger was really good as were the wings and fries. Best of all was the onion rings. They were cooked to perfection. Not over cooked, not undercooked, but perfectly cooked.
If we’re ever in the area again we will definitely go back to The Tin Plate.

Doesn’t get any better then this! The food and the atmosphere was so enjoyable! Owner told me a great story of when he met Bob Weir! The bartender rode a cool motorcycle. The appetizer sampler was fire!!! That homemade BBQ sauce
If you have not been stop what you are doing and go now.

One of the best tenderloins I have ever had. We had them as Manhattans. YUMMY!

Good old bar side/family side type restaurant that I grew up with. The hand breaded tenderloin is amazing. It is as large as you think. The breading let the natural taste of the tenderloin come through. That’s a hard balancing act. You can order it anyway you want. Fries were great. They did not have bottles of mustard but they will get you small cup full if you ask. Service was awesome. Kept our glasses fun and checked on us when we needed it. This place is on the tenderloin trail so check it off your list if you visit.

I got mine to go so I can’t say anything about the service inside or the atmosphere. Looks like a nice bar to eat at or they have dining for family. Nice outdoor seating area. I love their breaded pork tenderloin. It is delicious. The breading is homemade. The pickles are really good! They toast the bun. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection. Not to thick not to thin. It is 10 oz and around 1/2 thick or a little more some days. It can make two sandwiches. The service for to go was very good. Every time they read my order back to me. They will also cut your tenderloin and make two sandwiches for you. Some places sale the bun and extra condiments and you do it yourself. It is one of the top ones in the state if I say so myself.
