The service was just as impressive. A special mention to Tanvir, our waiter, who was friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome. Dilu, the owner, took the time to check in on us, which added a really personal touch and Mozaid the chef was fantastic – his cooking advice was genuinely appreciated and made the experience even more memorable.
We would highly recommend Tigers Tandoor and will certainly be coming again. A perfect place for a special occasion.
We loved that we could customise our food, and no changes were too much trouble. The flavours were perfect. If you like spice and flavour and authentic food, this is your place!!
Thank you so much for making birthday memorable!
We booked directly through the restaurant’s website six weeks in advance and received a confirmation email. We also called the day before to confirm the booking and to add two extra people, which was explicitly approved and we were told our reservation for Saturday was intact. Despite this, when we arrived we were told no reservation existed, and were met with a fairly hostile response from the owner, who appeared overwhelmed and prioritising walk-ins.
We were then told that bookings need to be confirmed by calling within 48 hours — something that is not stated anywhere and is not normal practice when a booking confirmation email has already been issued. Being told this was a “third-party issue” is frustrating; if a restaurant uses an online booking system, ownership of those bookings ultimately sits with the restaurant, not the customer.
That said, once seated (after waiting and having our large group split across two tables), the food was very good, drinks were spot on, and the front-of-house staff were friendly and professional.
This could have been a 4–5 star experience if not for the booking chaos and the tone taken with customers who had done everything right. My advice to management: either take control of the booking system or be transparent about confirmation requirements. Customers should not be made to feel at fault for following your process — especially on busy nights.
A great meal, but let down by poor reservation management and unnecessary hostility.
Can’t wait to come back
