We went to the Tides for their 3-5 pm Happy hour The seating out front was full so we decided to sit at the corner side of the bar. Service at the bar was just ok as several workers were coming and going. The bar atmosphere is beautiful. We ordered drinks and 2 appetizers. Their location after a day at the beach is gorgeous.

We spent the day at Goose Rocks Beach and didn’t have the opportunity to bring a picnic for the beach. As an option – The Tides is right across the street from the beach and we had a great lunch there. It’s casual enough that we could go in our shorts and t-shirt; and the sea air flows through the restaurant. The staff was really kind and it was a great place to catch a delicious lunch. I think some of the reviews are unfair; I’m sure the staff would have happily corrected / replaced a dish that wasn’t to ones liking if given the chance – our experience suggested they were very guest friendly. A perfect option for a fresh lunch and break from the sun!

Great homey atmosphere across the narrow road from the beach. Nice fire pits and sitting area in front. Is lighted up with strings lights across covered front porch. Inside you feel like you’re in someone’s spacious living room and dining room being served a great meal. Haddock has a nice surprise of being served on top of the lobster chowder with very generous portion of lobster. Prices are very reasonable for this level of service, quality and location.

We were staying at the hotel, which is a really great memorable stay, loved our room and the breakfast croissants that were complimentary in the morning were or had to be flown in from Paris!! Magnificent!! Loved our meal, duck was yummy.

We were taking a trip along the shore and by the time we got to this are the thunderstorms were coming in quick so we decided to hang here for a bit til it passed.as it did and we seen a gorgeous rainbow .. the watermelon martini was very sweet and delicious the male bartender seemed to be managing drinks for entire place and did a great job at it! We were sitting right at the bar so not sure how restaurant service for drinks were but didn’t hear any complaints. I had strawberry rhubarb crisp it was delicious. My friend enjoyed her food too.forgit name of her dish..porch is a nice place to sit and eat and also the lawn..over all exellent experience

I’ve never posted before but had to describe my experience. I’ve been coming to the tides since I was a baby. When the new ownership took over we still went, and we still enjoyed ourselves. This time however was a disaster. Hostess was rude. No system in place. My lobster roll 45$ was the size of a small hotdog. Almost no lobster meat. They threw 10 French fries on my plate with it. I’ve never had this experience there before. We went to 2 other restaurants that we have frequented of the years and we enjoyed it much better that the Tides. They better fix this fast, especially from a place charging 1000$ a night to stay. Will not be going back to eat.
