We went on a Sunday evening and it wasn’t packed. The food was really good and so was the beer selection. Otherwise they have a couple wines. They have a nice little outdoor space too. We loved it! It was awesome to have a place to go chill at after riding our ebikes at the park all day! They also have ebike rentals in the parking lot.

Just tried this new sports bar and its the real deal. Great burgers done perfectly and very tasty. I recommend the Tostada smash and I really liked the non-greasy fries, they were perfect too. My wife had the chili and onion rings and both were really good. You can expect lots of big screens with the volume up enough to hear the games and still have a conversation, best of all $6 16oz beers and $8 22oz beers, this simplified pricing lets you pick any draft for the same price. Finally a bar that gets it.

Unfortunately, our experience here was extremely disappointing. We were asked to leave the bar due to having a service dog, despite the fact that staff had seen our dog from the moment we sat down and had no issue initially.

We waited about 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order, and another 10 minutes before a local guest helped get the attention of the owner’s cousin, Chris, who then took our food order without any concerns — again, fully seeing our service dog. By the time our food arrived, we had already been seated at the bar for roughly 45 minutes.

A few minutes after receiving our food, Chris came back and told us we couldn’t have our dog at the bar. We were completely willing to move to a table and politely asked where we could go. His response was, “I don’t know where to either.” At that point, we simply asked to pay our tab, even though we had just received our food and drinks.

While we were trying to quickly finish our wine and leave, the owner approached us with an aggressive attitude, repeating that we couldn’t be at the bar with the dog. When I asked him to please chill out as we were actively trying to leave, he responded, “Don’t tell me to chill out I own this place.”

This restaurant has only been open a few months, but with that kind of attitude, it’s hard to see it lasting. As restaurant owners ourselves, we know firsthand that this situation could have been handled professionally and respectfully especially considering service animals are legally protected.

We are truly not people who complain and fully understand how difficult the restaurant industry is, which makes this experience even more disappointing.

We are now somewhere else being treated like royalty!

This is a great spot to watch a game and enjoy some good bar food. This city needs a good sports bar and the Thirsty Longhorn is it.
Chris and Ernie have a nice establishment and a good set of employees that are friendly and personable. Highly recommend this establishment and hope it thrives here.

The new taco salad with ground meat was outstanding. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly satisfying. The ground meat was flavorful and cooked just right, and everything was well-balanced from the greens to the toppings. This is not a side dish pretending to be a meal—it’s filling, well-executed, and absolutely a must-try. I’ll be ordering it again.

Love all the TVs and beer selection. Great place to catch a game and meet up with friends. They also have pool tables. The smash burger and cheese curds were delicious. Became a member and got a free shirt.

The environment was so fun and relaxed and everyone was so nice! We didn’t hear or meet attitude from any of the owners or employees and they were extremely accommodating! The food is delicious, and the drinks were cold! Georgetown has needed a space like this for years! We can’t wait to come back!

We are Georgetown locals and always have the best time here! We spend a lot of time in downtown Georgetown and go to all the regular spots.

Mayo and Mary are our favorite bartenders. They are so kind, thoughtful, and take time to learn about your life and drinks. I love a place that remembers what’s going on and your drink; regardless if you are there 1x a week or 3x a week.

They are also Georgetown’s real sports bar, highly accessible, flags up for sports, tons of screens, pool tables and my favorite… a quarter machine.

They also have a patio for dogs with water bowls and are pet friendly, which isn’t common in Georgetown.

Honestly it’s a vibe and Georgetown has needed this for a while! Excited to have it.

Not sure what I went to. More like a house party that I had to pay for my own food. No hostess or a welcoming come on in sit wherever. Very odd setup. Can’t get me a glass of water but yet have a 5 gallon bucket of water and plastic cups to serve yourself. No waitstaff checking tables. One man picking up plates and glasses. Bar food is bar food. I don’t waste time rating the bar food. Service is what is severally lacking in this establishment. It could be a good spot but needs significant service help. My dad left the review last night. I just wouldn’t call myself a sports bar if its like a house party where I have to go and get everything. Im there to have a good time not work.
