We were visiting from out of state. I grew up in Ukiah and had great memories of karaoke as a young person and brought my partner who has never been to Ukiah before and my mom and sister. The bar itself is a nice space. Lots of pool tables. Love the concept of the axe throwing. Ok drinks and good bartender. The cocktails are awesome. My sister got a lavender lemon drop and it was beautiful.
The karaoke was somewhat disappointing (Sorry). We are karaoke regulars in Eugene Oregon where we live and I admit we are spoiled. We never got to sing while the same people went up again and again. I understand the KJ is likely not a professional which is fine but I would be willing to give some suggestions of how to make a rotation if someone wants email me because I would love to come back when we come to visit again. It has potential! I did love that folks could bring their kids to sing.

The employees are really nice. I went to the Halloween party and it was really fun. The band was awesome.
I’ve been here other times as well and it is nice to chill and play pool when it is not busy. The food is delicious. They have a lavender lemon drop cocktail and it was delicious as well.

This place is AWESOME. it has it all, Axe Throwing, Pool, live music, karaoke, Trivia Nights and an awesome group of bartenders.
Forget the other bars, they’re all dives and meat markets. Go to The Thirsty Axe instead.

I know it’s a problem everywhere but this place was very short on employees for a Sat. music night. The line for service extended right in front of the band for the first 5 songs. When I asked management about it instead of moving the line he said it will die down. Yeah, 35 minutes later. There was a line at the bar all night with no organization whatsoever. It took 20 minutes or more to get drinks. They need to have table service. It’s not the employees fault. They were working so hard for hours but management needs to figure out how to service people more efficiently. Also the waiver process on line for axe throwing was ridiculous. It kept dumping people off and took forever to complete. We gave up on that too.

Jalapeño popper and brisket sandwich, along with tater tots were absolutely exceptional. Service was a little slow but great atmosphere

Ukiah definitely needed an awesome place like this!! The environment is instantly open and inviting… The live band was very very loud!!! They have an upstairs pool table with a view of the stage very clean n nice. We played pool for an hour but the cost was $10. In my opinion they need a waitress to pick up the dirty cups and wipe chairs and tables down… Only one bathroom…. It was a blast listening to everyone karaoke . Even a few younger kiddos got to enjoy the stage and sing their hearts out. The drinks are very expensive so leave a bottle or drink in your car…. Will definitely be going again!!!

Bar tenders had awesome personality. We were there early before it got busy but great selection of drinks/beer.

Good bar to hangout with friends or family. The weekly event like trivia night or karaoke night are always fun. The food sometimes takes a little while when busy but typically its not a long wait. The food and drinks are not too expensive and the bartenders are always great.

The Thirsty Axe is a super fun place to hang out in Ukiah! The axe throwing is a hoot! Definitely takes some practice. I love how they have live music and food as well. Let’s keep these creative businesses supported so we have fun, safe places to go in the evenings — and bring your friends! See you there!
