People say this spot is a hidden gem since it’s tucked inside a gas station, and everyone talks about the crispy duck. We’re big fans of crispy duck and it’s hard to find a Thai place that makes it good. Came here with not so high expectations but wow, the crispy duck basil was really good! We also got the Pad Thai and it was solid too. Not close to me, but I’ll make the trip whenever I’m craving crispy duck!

Great local business in downtown leesburg area. I enjoyed the red curry! It is a more takeout place not sit down. Parking is not great its only got 2 slots near gas station.

Highly recommend:Awesome food with a killer herb-spice mix. Ask for spice level 4 for a kick, or it’s mild. Crying tiger appetizer at 4 is a must. Tom Kha Gai’s tasty but lemon-heavy—still good. Red curry’s great, larb’s okay, skip the won ton soup.

Hello, I wanted to share some constructive feedback about my recent experience at your restaurant. The food is excellent, I can’t deny that, and that’s one of the main reasons I enjoy going there. However, what I experienced this past Saturday was disappointing.

Around 5:00PM, on Saturday which is normal dinner time, I went in hoping to have a nice dine-in experience. Instead, the staff told me that they could not seat me because they had too many takeout orders and that I would have to wait until after 7:00 PM. That simply doesn’t make sense to me. If dine-in customers are being turned away because of online orders, then it defeats the purpose of having a dining area at all.

Also, no matter how good the food is, when you don’t feel welcomed in a place — whether it’s a restaurant or even someone’s home — you naturally don’t want to return. The “magic” of the experience disappears, and it leaves you with a bad impression.

I understand that the restaurant is small and receives many orders, but when a customer wants to dine inside, that customer should be prioritized over takeout orders. People want to feel valued when they choose to visit a restaurant, not turned away because of too many takeout orders. In my point of view, this is something that needs improvement because, at the end of the day, the customer should always come first.

Consistently poor experiences over multiple visits – Thai Pan is a frustrating mess of a restaurant. We noticed that during/after the pandemic, things just fell apart. It sounds like they changed ownership/management and it’s really gone downhill.

In the times we’ve eaten here, the panang curry has been really watered down, flavorless. This has been our experience on multiple, separate occasions.

Their order management system is infuriating. On one occasion we placed an online order, which said would take 45min. At the 45min mark, we arrived at the restaurant to pick up our food and they hadn’t even started the work, said it would be another 30-40 min. I said that wouldn’t work and since the order hadn’t been started, we’d like to cancel/be refunded. The guy at the counter said he would “cancel it later” – which for obvious reasons, doesn’t work. He assured me I’d see the refund the next day. The next day…no refund. I called their manager who was totally lost and had to contact their ordering company to process the refund. Instead of shutting down online orders when they’re overwhelmed, like every other restaurant does, they just let us find out on arrival?

On yet another attempt, we arrived at 7:30pm on a Friday night. We were told they “only do pick up orders”….at 7:30 on a Friday?? I asked if that was advertised on their website, Google, or social media…they said no. And that was it. They couldn’t have cared less.

Thai Pan is NOT worth the visit, they run the restaurant really poorly and the food itself is absolutely nothing to write home about.

Save yourself a lot of time and do NOT order takeout here.

We used to love The Thai Pan, but it has gone down hill drastically. After this most recent experience, we won’t be back. Don’t believe the “ready by” times because it will probably be much longer.

I arrived to pick up our online order and was told it would be “about four minutes”. After a much longer wait than 4 minutes, I was then told it would be another 20-25 minutes. The person next to me was also told the same; however, he received the DoorDash order he was picking up after a short time. As I waited, I continuously saw DoorDash orders getting picked up. After 25 minutes, I asked how much longer and was told another 10 minutes. Sure enough, our food was not ready.

I asked the gentleman working the front what was going on and he told me that they were “holding my order”. He told me that each time he asked the cooks, he was told it was on hold. I was never given an explanation, but based on how many orders were being picked up I can only assume they highly prioritize DoorDash orders.

Finally, I asked for a refund and to not fill the order so I could just leave because I had been waiting almost an hour at the store. Magically, the order appeared within a few minutes while the gentleman was trying to get the order cancelled.

While the food is good, prices have gone up, and it was clear from this most recent and frustrating visit that they do not care about customers. Take your business elsewhere; there are many other Thai options in the area!

We did take out. The wait time was reasonable, and we were able to sit in the restaurant to wait. Pad thai was great as well as the portion size! It was 3 meals for me!

Cute little restaurant. Friendly server. Authentic satay dipping sauce they served with the fresh rolls. You can taste tamarind and massaman.

The basil chicken was, to me, more like stir fry mixed veggies + chicken with basil leaves vice basil chicken. The brown sauce was too salty for my liking.

It’s been said before here, “Thai food at a gas station”? YES! Stopped by for a quick meal and ended up staying for a couple of hours. Not being too keen on Thai food the staff was patient, helpful and our orders were prepared quickly. We ordered Spring Rolls, Tom Kha soup, Pad Thai, Tamarind Chicken and their seasonal Pumpkin Red Curry. Everything was delicious and their portions were big enough that 4 of us were able to share and taste all the dishes. Definitely recommend!!!

Personally, I am not into Thai food that much. It is my wife’s choice and she has exposed me to it. I had heard from two friends, this place was really good so I told my wife. Last night we stopped in for the first time.
This is an example of “never judge a book by its cover”, it is attached to a gas station as if just trying to make use of extra space. After our first visit, I would say, you would be mistaken to not stop in and give it a try.
The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. As we sat and ate, I watched them interact with other customers and it was clear they have numerous regulars.
We enjoyed the curry puffs, I tried them with and without the sauce. I preferred them plain, they tasted so good you didn’t need the sauce.
The panang curry, it seemed as though the sauce was a little thin but it was very good otherwise. I would order it again.
The Tamarind Chicken was by far my favorite. I liked it so much, I could go back tonigh for more. The sauce was amazing. I enjoyed every bite of it.
We also ordered the fried rice with beef. This was only issue I had. The rice alone was very very good, however, the beef pieces were very tough. I ended up just pushing them to the side and enjoying the rice instead.
I wish there was a half star option, this would be a 4.5 review.
I would recommend Thai Pan and we will certainly be going back to try additional dishes.
