Thai Garden (La Punta) vsChilli Garden (Centuro) — Honest findings
Looking for Thai in Puerto? Here’s my take after trying both:
”Thai Garden” (La Punta): Great entrance and location, but the food was not authentic at all. Dishes came off more modernized with sweeter side and sauce that masked aromatics, leaning toward a Western palate rather than traditional Thai flavors.
✅ “Chili Garden” (Centuro): Authentic Thai flavors, deeply balanced and aromatic. The chef lived in Thailand and trained there, delivering a standout, authentic taste experience. In my many years dining Thai restaurant, this was among the best I’ve had in my life
Suggestions for future diners:
If you want authentic Thai flavors, Chili Garden is the safer, highly highly recommended
If you’re after a convenient spot with a sweeter, more contemporary style, and easier access.

We had a great experience at Thai Garden. The food was really good, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. We were celebrating a birthday, and they surprised us with a complimentary courtesy, which was a very nice touch and made the night even more special.
The atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a relaxed and enjoyable dinner, and the service truly stands out. Special thanks to Xavi for the incredible attention súper friendly, professional, and always making sure we felt well taken care of.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for a delicious dinner and a great time.

Aylin was our server today! From the moment we walked in she greeted us and immediately sat us down! She provided amazing customer service and great recommendations on the menu! Although there was an error on our order she caught it and offered to make it right! Food was great, drinks were great and so was Aylin! Definitely our favorite dinner place during our stay!

A hidden garden restaurant on the main strip. Best meal we have had in Puerto Escondido. 2 for 1 mezcalitos made it a perfect meal. Can’t wait to go back.

Been here twice now, even better than the last time. The greeen curry and pad kra pao were stoundouts. The mocktails too. Our server Xavi is a delight, as is the woman who brought flowers to the table with her adorable toddler.
