Order the Sampler, bring your “but do we have to dress up” friends, or book a reservation for a Tea Party quickly. Sandwich must try is Tuna Ceviche. I know!! That’s what I thought. OMGOODNESS TEAlicious!! Pimento scratch-made in-house and like me, opt for it with crackers. Flavored iced teas or have any one of their hot teas over ice but you will swoon over their fine tea selection and teaware. This is where you come to unwind. Strip mall turned inside out and you are transported and given permission to have some of the best tea pairing locally made desserts too. Oh strawberry salad was fresh and adorably presented. Buy some sweet things to take home.
A little birdie told me the owners truly have a heart for community and often feed and minister to others down on their tea-luck so tip BIG because it goes far. Once you’re done, walk off the brioche cucumber sandwich at Jill’s boutique next door. Thank me later and enjoy yourself. You deserve it. Tell them Mrs. Erika sent you. Oh yeah, ask for the After Dinner Mint or Tea F.F. (almond apricot) tea.
Steep you later ☕️
IT WAS WONDERFUL!!! Staff was amazing, the food so tasty. They make everything from scratch except bread that is bought from a bakery.
Everything was so fresh and tasted wonderful. And beautifully presented.
Since we alway enjoy afternoon teas we decided to bring our 8 month old to start that tradition with him. Staff were amazing towards him and he loved the food too! I gave him sips of my tea and he approved so much he fussed at me until I gave him more sips!
So very worth it!!!! For sure looking for future events! Hoping for a Christmas one.
I can’t say enough good things about this place.
I have lived in Alvin for 6 years, I finally found a good place to eat.
The Teaspoon is going to get sick of me now that I know!!!!
I want to add that I made sandwiches on the golf course, cooked and worked banquets for the last five years. I am a Food/Kitchen Manager, and have been in the business for nearly 20 years.
This place is a picture of a Perfect Lunch Experience.
Hint…try the pumpkin bread!
We will be back!!!
I gave only three stars because I felt like both visits were lacking in customer service. Yes the staff were friendly, but hard to get a hold of. I found myself looking around to find someone for a refill and check for some time before someone appeared in the main eating area. The second visit we had a larger group of people eating and refills were hard to come by because again, there were no staff in the main area. It was a little weird and not ideal, but not a dealbreaker. However, it was made clear that “we are closing in 10 minutes” and they showed up to let us know that. Again, this was a larger group who was finishing up around that time. It was quite rude and unappreciated. There is also a 20% gratuity for large parties. This wouldn’t be an issue in the slightest, but I would probably refill drinks and not usher people out the door at a bare minimum. I am unlikely to eat here again after this.
