I recently had the pleasure of hosting a private birthday party at The Tavern, and I can’t express enough how amazing the entire experience was. From the moment we started planning, the staff was incredibly accommodating and a pleasure to work with.
The event itself was flawless. The atmosphere of the tavern is fantastic—cozy, with just the right amount of rustic charm, and the private space was perfect for our group. It felt intimate yet lively.
But what truly stole the show was the food and drink service. The kitchen absolutely nailed it with a menu that had everyone raving. The tavern classics were elevated to a whole new level, with every dish being fresh and full of flavor. The servers were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure every guest was happy. Our drinks were always full, and they handled everything with a level of professionalism that made me feel like a guest at my own party.
Honestly, if you’re looking for a venue for a private event or just a great night out, The Tavern is the place to go. They made my birthday celebration unforgettable, and I can’t wait to go back.

i recently visited the Tavern on Broad Restaurant at 112 N Broad St, in Thomasville, GA. After finding a parking spot I walked into the restaurant and sat at the bar counter. My attendant was very there to take my drink order and received it very quickly. I then discussed a few lunch menu items over with her I ordered their hamburger and it was delicious.

Nice outdoor seating. I ordered the Caesar Wrap. You have to add chicken if you want a Chicken Caesar Wrap. Their hamburgers are delicious, and the beef is from the town over (where the cows are grass-fed).

“The Tavern on the Broad”is a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations on my first visit. From the moment we were greeted by Allen, our server, to the last bite of our meal, everything was exceptional. Allen’s attentive service and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home, especially with my granddaughter, who was treated with genuine warmth.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The fish and chips were a delightful surprise – the cod was perfectly cooked, light, and flaky, while the fries were wonderfully crispy. And those fried pickles! Lightly breaded and expertly fried, they were a crispy, tangy delight. The buffalo chicken dip was another highlight, paired perfectly with the pita chips and even my fries found their way into the mix!
The cocktails were expertly crafted, adding to the overall experience. What truly sets The Tavern apart is its unpretentious atmosphere. It’s not about being fancy; it’s about good food, good drinks, and good times. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You won’t be disappointed.”

I really wanted to love this place. It’s a nice environment in our downtown district. My husband and I stopped in for lunch on a cold rainy day. We ordered the pickled fried okra appetizer, which was amazing. A burger and sweet potato fries and a salad for me. My husband also ordered a cocktail and water. The water has a city taste, the burger was very beautiful but that is all, it had a very bland taste and the salad I sent back bc it was absolutely rotten. The poor waitress seemed embarrassed. Im not sure who thought sending that out would be a good idea, much less sitting it in front of someone to consume, I digress. Sadly we won’t be back, but hope to see them fix this for their future customers. They could really do well if they wanted to.

This establishment doesn’t seem to get the recognition of some its close neighbors “on the Bricks”, but it sure deserves it!! The service and atmosphere are excellent, as is the food. The cocktails are some you’ll come back for. Try it next time you’re on the bricks.

Jillian the bartender was amazing first of all, she’s so kind! We ordered the wings and fries. Everything came out hot which is nice but because the fries are so thick I immediately burnt myself. The wings themselves, the meat is good but something is seriously wrong with the Buffalo sauce. It’s spicy but has a VERY sweet aftertaste, so much so we didn’t realize HOW spicy it was. Our lips were burning for hours and I couldn’t get the taste of the sauce out of my mouth for over 2 hours, it burned a spot on my tongue and changed the color for a full day. I’m finally starting to taste things again but lost all taste for almost 24 hours. Not a great experience at all.

Yes, very busy day as it was V-Day 2026. Waiter only took our order but never checked on the food when it arrived or offered to fill our drinks. I had to wave the person down for a water and when she arrived, she didnt offer to refill my wifes drink. Bottom Line, I dont support businesses that charge the customer a fee to run their card. I asked her to have the fee taken off as I was NOT paying with a CREDIT CARD but paying with my DEBT CARD. Therefore please remove the CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEE! Bottom Line was not removed. I CHOOSE to give this place my business over another downtown locaiton and in return was hit with a fee to run my card. Poor Business Practice in my book and will not be back!

Service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I ordered the wrong drink and the waitress mixed something in it and it was nice and refreshing. She also made recommendations on our food and they were spot on! This was a perfect date night! Thank you for a great experience.

Nice inside. Waited forever for our food and it want busy. Food was mid and very expensive. $23 for the fish and chips and you get one piece of fish with less than a handful of fries.
