The Tavern Grill brings traditional Midwest flavors with the ability to customize burgers, salads and pizzas. There’s something for everyone at The Tavern Grill! Located just off 494 and Tamarack Road. Our Woodbury location has a large open dining room with a full bar. In the summer months, our patio located on the north side of the building comes alive with a full bar that provides a great, relaxing atmosphere.

Visited The Tavern Grill and went with the BYOB (Build Your Own Burger) option. I was really impressed with the wide variety of toppings—plenty of ways to customize and make it your own. However, despite all the options, the burger itself was pretty average. The patty and bun just didn’t stand out at all—nothing special, and honestly a bit underwhelming. For a place that highlights its build-your-own burgers, I expected more flavor and quality. The chips could use some work and more seasoning.
It also took a bit longer than expected for our server to enter everything into the tablet, which made me miss the old paper-and-pencil method that felt quicker and more straightforward.
That said, the overall atmosphere was great. The building is huge, clean, and welcoming. Our server was friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy working with people. We would’ve loved to sit on the patio, but it was too cold during our visit.
Service and environment were strong, but the food—especially the burger—was just okay. Not bad, but not memorable either.

I ordered spaghetti, something simple but they made it to fancy and I’m my opinion was very bland and dry. I also added a side of garlic bread, not sure what I got but it was not your regular garlic bread. I didnt care for it. Our server was top notch!!! The drinks were fantastic. There fish and chips are great.

Dined here 7/8/25 with 22 of our church family and everything was Tremendous!
The food was Terrific and all our entrees came out together. The service was Excellent and attentive.
I enjoyed the Caesar salad, Chix wild rice soup, Sirloin and the Chocolate cake with Whiskey butter. All Delicious and cooked to my preference.
Thank You so much to the entire staff for a Wonderful brunch!

My family and I had a party of 10, the food was delicious, best fettuccine alfredo I’ve ever had. One of the dishes didn’t come out with the rest and when it did my son said the chicken was VERY dry and unfavorable – overall it was a fantastic experience. Before we got our check the server had comped half of the meal that came out late. I would definitely stop again!

Yummy food and looks they revised their menu. A lot of yummy items to choose from! We had a group of 8 and our waitress did a great job taking care of us…considering it was packed with prom goers. I had the Sesame Chicken strips. They were pretty good but I wish I would’ve gotten something else. Also pictured is the Flank Steak. Super tender and delicious. Our table also purchased the baked spaghetti and that was a huge portion! Same with the burgers and wraps. All very good. The only complaint with this restaurant would be the noise. It was VERY loud. We could hardly carry on a conversation with one another and the people across the table from us we couldn’t even hear. But we had an amazing time.

Went on Sunday for brunch with a group of 12. Half of our group got the buffet and half were ordering off the menu but the server didn’t take the menu orders until after people had already come back from the buffet and after all of the drinks were served AND we had to flag the server down to take our orders. Then the food took nearly 40 min to come so the rest of the group had been done eating for at least 20 minutes. To top it off there was a hair in one of the dishes but we couldn’t wait for a replacement dish (and that wasn’t offered anyway). The manager did comp the dish with the hair and discounted the meals ordered off the menu but we couldn’t figure out why they didn’t take orders from the menu right away when others were getting the buffet or let us know that the kitchen was backed up, if that was the case. We’ve been there before for brunch when everyone got the buffet, which is generally good, but will probably not be back.

We had dinner at the Tavern with my five friends, and it was such an amazing experience! The atmosphere was cozy and lively — perfect for a fun evening out.
We ordered waffle fries, nachos, and the artichoke dip, and all of them were absolutely delicious! They had great vegetarian options, which was impressive because most restaurants usually have very limited choices. We also ordered fettuccine Alfredo, and they kindly customized it for us by adding fresh vegetables — such a nice touch.
The drinks were a bit too sweet at first, but when we shared our feedback, our server immediately offered to replace them with new drinks. She was extremely sweet, attentive, and welcoming, which made our experience even better.
Overall, Tavern is a wonderful spot for groups and vegetarian diners. The food was flavorful, the service was outstanding, and we really appreciated how they listened to feedback. Highly recommend for a relaxed and enjoyable dinner.

A good spot in the area for dinner or lunch. They have a big outdoor patio and plenty of space in the dinning room or bar area. It does get pretty busy around dinner time, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, but you can reserve a spot in line on their website, which we always do to avoid the line/wait.
Most of everything is pretty good. They have one of the best Buffalo Mac & Cheese dishes I have had. The kids really like their pizzas. The waffle fries with their seasoned sour cream is also a must if you’re ordering a burger/wrap/sandwich. Many more other great apps and dishes. Their Sunday Brunch buffet is also decent if you’re looking at a big meal to start off your Sunday.
We have the Tavern Loyalty card, which has really paid off over the years. Definitely recommend getting it if you go more than a couple of times. Prices have gone up over the last year, so having the 20% off discount helps make the meals a tad bit more affordable.
