One of Pinehurst Resort’s dining options, The Tavern, located within the Holly Inn, features an antique bar brought over the pond from Scotland as its centerpiece, creating a cozy spot for lunch and dinner. The menu features a variety of unique sandwiches, salads and soups for lunch and a more hearty menu of pasta, beef and other entrees in the evening. You don’t want to miss the complimentary homemade chips. Outdoor patio seating overlooking The Village center is available seasonally.

We ate twice at the Tavern during our recent stay, and it was phenomenal both times!! The wait staff are wonderful, attentive, professional and friendly. The bartender made me a drink that wasn’t on the menu, a blueberry lemon martini with fresh fruit, and it was delicious. Everything we ate was fresh, cooked and spiced to perfection. The chefs are top notch and have redefined tavern food. Definitely recommend the southern hush puppies, taco appetizer, chicken fries chicken, and save room for the blueberry cobbler with homemade blueberry ice cream. You will not be disappointed or hungry!!

Wow!!! Very cute historic hotel. The Tavern is one of a couple places to eat here. The staff, from the hostee, to the waitress were very friendly and helpful. The food was out of this world. Sadly I forgot to take a picture but the presentation on the Chicken Fried Chicken was very well done. That dish and the Penne Pasta with Chicken were both excellent. I had hot blueberry cobbler with homemade blueberry ice cream…it was Heaven with every spoonful. We have been living in Pinehurst since May and have been trying every place around. The Tavern for their tasty food is our #1 thus far. We will be back very soon.

Added 20% service charge to the entire bill but you still need tip on top of that. No warning whatsoever about the charge. Ordered a regular drink and they gave me a double for some reason, exorbitant prices. Food quality was average. Not worth the extra 20% Bartender was hard to understand and somewhat deceitful

Stopped in for a drink and an appetizer at the bar. The drinks were excellent with 3 local Carolina beers on tap. Our calamari appetizer was excellent and our bartender was helpful and welcoming. And the bar and patio are both pretty cool spots to hang out.
