Here’s the late night low down. There’s a particular menu in the late night hours, but unlike some places, it’s not just fried food.
The Good: The food. My goodness. It is honestly good. It’s cooked to perfection. I’ve ordered the burger 3 times this month to make sure it’s not a fluke. The chicken sandwhich is crispy, the burger is plump and a good size, the wings are on point! The lettuce, tomato, onion, etc… all crisp. Not wilted or going south. The french fries!!! They are battered maybe? So much flavor. And you can get them with out salt!!! The tots and fries aren’t pre salted, so you can get them non-dead sea style if you have taste buds and don’t associate high blood pressure with flavor you can ask them to lighten up on the NaCl. But the fries have real flavor!!! And they give you decent portions of fries. Highly, highly recommended! And I never eat fries. Also, the prices are on point. You won’t find a better deal for food this good. I’m having the wings tonight, and I eat hot wings. I am a little disappointed by the heat of the Nashville Hot, so it’s probably perfect for mortal men. Good flavor. Garlic, peppery, a little sweet. It has a bit of a deeper flavor so maybe smoked pepper but also maybe molasses? The flavor is married very well, and the spice does not over whelm the flavor of the sauce. The mango habanero wings are a little sweeter. Obviously a bit fruity. Both have a heat that sticks. Let’s talk about the staff. They are all fantastic. People who are down to earth. They aren’t going to pretend you are their best friend. They can hold a conversation. They are real people.
The Bad: if you’re looking for huge portions!!! Probably not going to find that here. Not baby portions. The burger is a good size for anywhere. The chicken sandwhich is smaller. If you are a buffet rampager, don’t order the chicken sandwhich, but if I’m not starving, it’s perfect. And it’s $11. It’s on par with fast chicken restaurants. Just know what you’re getting into. The wings aren’t jumbo but not small. Not bad size. Ya that’s it. That’s all the “bad.” Not really that bad.
The Ugly: If you’re looking for a nice quiet place to grab a burger and convo, you may be highly disapointed on certain nights. There are live bands, karaoke… poke your head in or ask what night it is first. Tonights a good night for talking to a date or friends. Tomorrow however… not so much. But if you like live bands (not soft rock cover nonsense), you’ll find them here. Orginal music. Eclectic covers. Highly recommended.
Swiss cheese & mushrooms sauteed in garlic, with lettuce, tomato, onion & mayo was one of the BEST burgers I’ve had in a while!! Crispy tater tots, really good buffalo sauce on meaty wings and tasty friend mushrooms.
Service from the bar was friendly & quick! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
