Heads up. Always make a reservation if you want to eat here. The majority of times we’ve had to because it gets super busy. The burgers here are delicious. We haven’t tried anything apart from the Mussels which were very good and the Above Par burger. We always order the Above Par Burger. It’s delicious. It had a quick fried goat cheese, with fig jam and tasty bacon. It’s an amazing combination and we have come here about 6 times already since last year ever since we tried it. We ordered a bottle of wine “the walking fool” and appreciated the ideas we received for which bottle of wine to choose within our budget. It was a great atmosphere and they have a cute outside area as well where you can sit and finish your wine after you pay the check. It’s usually very busy and amazing service as always. We will come back again and again.

We had an amazing lunch! The atmosphere was special, and the food was top-notch. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious options, making it hard to choose—you’ll definitely want to come back to try everything. And let’s not forget the specials, which are truly exceptional! I ordered the lobster in a bun with risotto, and it was sublime. Our server, Scott, was outstanding!

We went to lunch here the other day and came back to do dinner with the magical dining experience. Our waitress Cecilia was amazing very friendly and courteous meatballs were fantastic. But the prime rib was not that great. The mashed potatoes were good and the Keylime pie is awesome.

Always love visiting the Tap Room! I tried one of the specials (shrimp and grits), and I am so glad I did. It was one of the best shrimp and grits dishes I have ever had. Such a good portion and amazing flavor!! Sat out front after dinner to enjoy live music and enjoy the sunset. 10/10!!!

If you read my reviews, you’ll find I don’t give out 5-stars very often. But for a nice restaurant on a famous local golf course, The Tap Room is still a hole-in-one. The food here is consistently some of the best American food you can get in the Central Florida area. And the service and atmosphere are still warm and welcoming. Walking up, you almost expect a place like this to be too snooty for the average person, and yet, I’ve been heartily welcomed and never felt more comfortable in a casual t-shirt and shorts eating alongside diners who clearly put more effort in to look respectable lol. But what really gets me about The Tap Room is how affordable it is, even after COVID. Let’s be honest, there are no cheap sit-down restaurants anymore; $16 hamburgers are the norm. And yet, I’ve paid just as much (and more) for similar meals at American restaurants with similar menus targeting similar clientele, and felt thoroughly dissatisfied and even disgusted with the lack of value for money. I mean, if I’m going to drop $35 for a simple lunch, please, at the very least, hire and train competent, friendly staff that welcomes and appreciates my patronage; ensure your food is high quality and consistent; keep your place clean and inviting (which by the way includes cleaning bathrooms and windows). I don’t think this is asking too much, even in this day and age. I mean, you want your customers to come back after they spend so much money, right? You do have pride in your establishment, right? Or is giving up and hiring anyone that walks in the norm now? How many times have I enthusiasticlly sought out similar places in Central Florida, expecting high quality to align with those high prices, and ended up thinking: is this server new, clueless, or just doesn’t care at all; is this place seriously trying to pass this off as anything but overpriced, ubiquitous slop; why is the music so loud and the AC so cold in here; is anyone paying attention to these things or are they just barely getting through the day; should I mention something to the manager or are they just as indifferent to what is happening here as their employees; and very often, in what seems like an anthem anymore, omg I can’t believe I just paid that much money for that crap… Of course chains suffer from it more than single private ventures, but the food scene in general is dismal at the moment, and that is certainly not limited to Central Florida, nor golf courses. Anyway, I’m happy to conclude that The Tap Room does not have these problems; they are fantastic and I still recommend them with a solid 5-stars for all categories. Could they be cheaper? Sure; but why, when prices align with competitors and quality is high? There is dining inside and out. The patio is large and shaded with a beautiful view. Though somewhat small a dining room, the decibel level inside is still comfortable, even when crowded. I can actually have a conversation here, unlike at places with poor material choices and unnecessarily loud music. The bar is old school, solid wood, comfortable and polished to perfection. They have good beers on tap, not just the cheaply convenient distributor filler everyone has at the moment. Oh, and by the way, there’s even a view of a nice golf course… Enjoy!

This was my first time here and I thought it was a pretty place! We sat out on the patio which was very nice. Their french onion soup was very good! I had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was really yummy!! My husband got a cheeseburger which he enjoyed! My husband enjoys taking his coworkers here for lunch. We will definitely be back!

If I had no choice but to eat there because of a golf game I would eat there again. Otherwise I would not intentionally choose this tavern over others. Why not? Our experience wasn’t favorable but it wasn’t horrible. Seemed like we were seated in between sections or shifts because there was a delay in being greeted by our actual server. Although polite, It appeared that she was more concerned with being coy and saying nice things while training her shadow because they forgot about the basics! We had to ask for napkins and silverware after they delivered our plates. Yikes. Otherwise, the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was very tasty, the meat was fresh and was nice & cheesy and the bread was super fresh. The asparagus was cooked nicely. The salad was decent and the salmon was OK as it was your typical previously frozen and grilled. We ordered tequila and cranberry (from their cocktail menu) I have not heard of that combo but we went with it and they drinks were merely OK, seemed a bit weak and nothing to write home about.

I had the French onion soup, which was enough for a full meal. They were very generous with cheese excellent choice. My companion had one of the famous hamburgers, and it did not disappoint. May try to come back for the magical dining, which has an excellent menu this year.

I had such a great experience at the taproom! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely incredible. The prime rib was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. And the key lime pie? Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—smooth, tangy, and the perfect balance of sweet and tart. I’ll definitely be coming back for both!

We love this place! – It’s one of Orlando’s OGs spots, and we love going there. For drinks, lunches, dinners, or even to play golf. Their menu (food and drinks) is rich, and they have amazing happy hours. It’s a great place for: date nights, small groups, big groups.. etc, and the atmosphere is great (either you sit inside or outside – but I love sitting outside).
