My friend and I were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by the bartender Matt. We sat at the bar as we are from Canada and wanted to get a feel for the place. Let me just say, he is an exceptional bartender. He was chatting with everyone and staying on top of everyone’s drink orders. The Tavern was filled with great energy, great people and great staff. Not only that, but they had karaoke, and it was lots of fun listening to everyone sing their hearts out. 10/10 will recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back soon!

Great spot. Gayest bartender this side of the Missouri River and East of the Rockies! As a Friscan, that’s important to me. Natives attended this bar as well. Big bear hug and a shot was had by this Island gal, and that was the peak of karaoke night for me.

Such an underrated place. I’ve driven by this place many times and not even noticed it, or just saw a scrappy, beat-up old building and thought it was just another dive bar, but after a couple visits, I’ve really enjoyed every time I stop by. They only serve beer, but they have something to please everyone. And what better ways to enjoy it than a few rounds of pool, some games, or good old karaoke! I’ll be back for sure.

My 4 stars is subjective. I like bars like this, it is a bit off the beaten path and a bit of a hole in the wall but I mean that in a good way.
Had stopped in to have a couple beers with a coworker as it was located between where we both live. Enjoyed my time there and will return. As I was leaving the Friday crowd began pouring in. Didn’t expect it to be so popular.

Best place in town for karaoke. The DJ Cory rocks! The venue is small and gets packed fast on weekends. Wish there was a little more room to maneuver around the pool table when playing and people are trying to walk by.

Been here MANY times for karaoke. Cozy place with karaoke, a pool table, and a pinball machine. No liquor bar! Beer and jello shots only. Parking can get weird sometimes, people have to pack into the nearby lot to fit in, but not a big deal unless you have a really big vehicle.

This is a really crappy bar. I mean, I’m sure there are some good people there. One worker i know is good because shes a coworker of mine. But its really beat up looking and its not a place to go if you want a quiet drink alone. The people get really obnoxious and i felt really uncomfortable there.

On Thursday night it was great..every karaoke singer nailed every song. KJ was friendly….each singer had their own sanitized microphone to use for the night…so that’d been a five star but Saturday night the two girls running it tried to steal the show when neither was a talented singer. I drove one hour each way to sing and they skipped me in favor of their regular crowd for my final song. I will never go there on a Saturday night again.

I would leave this bar 5 stars if Tia ran the bar alone. Idk who the guy at the end was but he ignored me all night. I’m new here and travel the country and review places everywhere.
