We came for the Christmas Pop up thing. Had to wait about 40 minutes before we were seated, but really loved all the decorations they have up.
Food/Menu: Due to the Christmas Pop up thing, there was a limited menu, which caught me off guard and for me made it difficult to find something. I ended up with a cheeseburger and got some cheese curds. The food was VERY basic, but having ate at other Taphouses around Minnesota, I wasn’t surprised. I have never been impressed by the quality Taphouse provides in this category…you just don’t come here for the food. I completely understand the need for the limited menu during such a busy event though.
What was lost on the food quality was made up by their choice of dinnerware! They brought out REALLY cute grinch plates of all different designs, which we had some fun with with photos.
Server: This was also a bit lacking, though the place was wild and crazy and I can understand they were overloaded. So I will just leave it at that.
Atmosphere: This was what we came for. Crowded is an understatement. But once we were sat down, we could finally settle amongst the various themed decorations. Got some good photos and there was no shortage of props.

Great spot for a cold beer and some delicious food. Conveniently located across the street from the Indigo Hotel and next to the Hilton Garden inn in downtown Rochester. Literally just a 2-3 minute walk. Also near the Mayo Clinic. We tried the Housemade Tinga Chicken tacos with salsa, onions, cilantro and lime on corn tortillas. The order was served with two tacos and they were absolutely delicious. Maybe the best taco I have ever had! I also tried the New Hollands Dragons Milk Ale (BA Stout ABV 11%) which was uniquely delicious. All in all a great experience with attentive and friendly service and great atmosphere. They have upstairs and downstairs seating. We enjoyed the area upstairs. Definitely recommend this spot if your looking for a nice spot downtown to grab a tasty meal or enjoy a refreshing drink.

This place was very busy when we arrived because of the holidays however the staff did great shuffling everyone in and out. The food was a limited menu due to them being busy but it was all delicious and the drinks were strong. Recommend.

In Rochester for a week. Stopped by early in our trip to try it out and the food was so delicious we made sure we visited again before heading back home. Both experiences were excellent. Wings were superb (Korean BBQ) and the burgers were delicious. Even the iced tea was great. Will definitely be a must stop visit when in the area. Staff were very friendly and personable. Really great atmosphere. Looking forward to the next visit!

I was at Mayo clinic in Rochester and found this place in walking distance from my hotel. Any place with a name of Tap House in it, figured to be a nice place to stop for me. And I was not disappointed, a very large selection of brews that I just had to sample. They had a good menu and I ordered their Burrito. It was very good and it was a big serving. They had a couple good looking nice bartenders that made the stop enjoyable. Will definitely stop back next time I am in town.

They had a great tap/drink list (even N/A items), we ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip. It came with homemade chips that were delicious and the dip was hot and yummy (lots of garlic). We also got the steak quesadilla and they had lots of well seasoned steak and were filling.

We photographed a wedding catered by Taphouse and we’re still talking about the food. The tacos were unreal and stole the show. You could tell guests were genuinely excited to eat, not just going through the motions of “wedding dinner.” Great food changes the whole energy of a reception and this absolutely did. We’d be happy to see them show up at another wedding anytime.

We stopped in for drinks and appetizers. The drinks were Christmas specials…fun and flavorful. The decor was outstanding as a pop up Christmas. The decor was the main reason that we stopped and it didn’t disappoint. If you want to experience the season, go soon and early. It is a hot spot!
