We went here on a road trip. We stopped with 3 kids and it was like walking straight into nostalgia. There is still a faint smell of smoke when you walk in the door, the building has low lighting, and the chairs are almost original. I wouldn’t change this experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our three kids who ran off a little energy.
What was the most remarkable was the fantastic burger! This place is not fancy. This place is the comfort fried food , homemade sandwiches, crispy crinkle fries and beers with good friends. If I was a betting women, I would guess this is the best bar/diner in town. This was a great low key place to stop! We would 100% go back!

It’s a bar. Definitely not fancy. We ordered the combo appetizers and they arrived very hot, but once they cooled they were tasty. My wife got the Minnesota Burger and I got the Cheese Burger. The cheese burger was just a burger, cheese and the bun with a couple pickle slices on the side, and that’s it, but it was good, and the bun was very high quality.

Stopped by on our way to the Badlands. Friendly staff, order was came out super quick and was of better quality for less money than what fast food chains are offering.

Came in on a Saturday night, kitchen closes early so there’s no food. Bartender is lazy, rude, and wonders why there’s 5 customers in there. I asked multiple times about DoorDashing food there and said it was on the way and she said I couldn’t eat it once it arrived.

This place isn’t worth your time. Go somewhere else

Guy running the bar helped us out of towners immensely. Very friendly and witty. Suggested we try the “chislic”. Glad we did as it was fantastic. Beer was cold 🙂

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. The waitress seemed inconvenienced by our presence, and refused to do anything other than take our order. We were the only customers in the building. She loudly complained about having to take our food to our table, to the point where I offered to grab it myself, after which the cook brought it over for her.
The food was good though, and the cook was nice. But with the wait staff (which seems to be a consistent issue looking at reviews), this business won’t last long.

The girl working was rude, very snippy with my boyfriend who was asking about what was on tap and inquiring about prices. We’re not from here, sorry. Snippy when taking our food order too. The older guy kept talking to us about the Twins game that was on, he seemed nice. He ended up bringing us our ticket. I’d go again if I’m in town if the girl isn’t there again. Mushroom and Swiss burger was greasy too, but the rest of the food was good!
