They truly get it right every single time! ☕✨ As a barista myself, I’m usually a little nervous about trying new coffee spots. I tend to be very particular with my orders because I know how much detail goes into crafting a great drink . But these ladies absolutely nail it every visit!
Their drinks are consistently well-balanced, smooth, and thoughtfully made. The espresso they use is rich and flavorful — you can really taste the quality in every sip . What makes it even better is the friendly service. They always greet customers with a genuine smile and positive energy, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable .

Every time we stop by, we are greeted by one of 3 awesome ladies. Christina, Shay or Brenna. They are kind, sweet and they put together some great coffee drinks. They treat my wife and I with respect and manors and are nnice to talk with. It is a bit of a drive from Ryegate, but worth it. Thank you a bunch.

They always do it up right! As a barista, I always feel scared to try new places and often feel I have to be very specific with what I order but these gals make it right every time! Their drinks are consistently great and well balanced, the espresso they use is wonderful and they serve it up with a smile 🙂

The Tangent Coffee Shop is a gem in Big Timber! This cozy spot on Big Timber Loop Rd serves up fantastic coffee and a warm, welcoming vibe. I had an iced huckleberry latte, and it was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with a bold coffee kick. The baristas (shoutout to Sarah and Ashley!) are super friendly and make you feel right at home, even if you’re just passing through. The drive-thru is convenient, and the shop’s quaint charm, surrounded by Montana’s stunning scenery, makes it a must-visit. Bonus: their white coffee and huckleberry ice cream are divine! Can’t wait to stop by again on my next road trip.

I’ve been to the Tangent many times. Anything from their bakery is amazing!! Dawn makes the most amazing scones I have ever had in my life. My son absolutely loves her cinnamon rolls. Get a scone, you won’t regret it.
