Honestly, this was one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered Malai Kofta ,Garlic Naan and Kadai Chicken from this place through Uber Eats for my dinner — and it completely ruined the night. The food was drowning in oil, totally tasteless, and not even slightly spicy (even though I asked for it).

I couldn’t finish it — and to make things worse, I actually felt sick afterward. I had to contact Uber for a refund. For a special day, this was a huge disappointment. Please don’t play with customers’ health and expectations.

Amazing food and service. We had the butter chicken and beef korma very good well cooked and great portion size. Amar is excellent and very clean place. We also had the Nan well cooked and not at all rubbery or thick. They were cooked well all over Also had chicken wrap Highly recommended

How lovely is it to stumble upon a great little gem like this. We put in a rather large order for takeaway as it was a family celebration we were hosting & I didn’t fancy cooking. Indian cuisine was my daughter’s request. The serving sizes were great, super tasty and represented really good value for money. Customer service was excellent too. I’m so happy we have a new family favourite! Highly recommended

Dodgy service and terrible food – won’t be ordering again

Just had a chicken korma and chicken madras from Tandoori Box in St Agnes and it was an all-round bad experience. The chicken in both meals was sinewy, gristly, and undercooked — completely unappetising. Both curries tasted pretty much the same, which wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t so watery and bland. It was like they were made with 98% water and no flavour.

The naan bread was the only halfway decent part of the meal. Even the poppadoms were soft and stale, not crispy like they should be.

To make things worse, they only accepted cash — no card payments — which I wasn’t told when ordering. I had to drive out to find an ATM just to pay for it. Then when the delivery driver showed up, he suddenly asked for $10 for delivery, which was never mentioned. I didn’t have the extra cash on me because I wasn’t told, and he just said “oh no it’s ok, don’t worry” — but the whole thing felt dodgy and unprofessional.

Delivery was promised in 45 minutes, but it actually took 1 hour and 7 minutes. Normally I wouldn’t care if the food was good — but this really wasn’t.

Won’t be ordering again. Poor food, poor communication, and shady service.
Looking forward to the diarrhoea.

Delicious meal on the weekend! Butter chicken and lamb korma – meats were so tender and flavoursome – garlic naan was delicious .. samosa was good – a bit spicy so my 20 month old wasn’t a fan but I didn’t mind them. 20 month old loved the butter chicken.. everything was fresh – will definitely be back!

Absolutely outstanding food & service!

The Tandoori Box is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is next level — bold, authentic, and unbelievably delicious. I honestly have never had Indian food like this before.

What truly sets this place apart is the lovely guy who always serves us. He goes out of his way to accommodate any request we make, no matter how small. His hospitality is genuine, warm, and makes every visit feel special.

The biggest thing for me is how the food makes you feel — you eat it and don’t feel heavy, uneasy, or sick afterwards. It’s so well prepared that it feels clean, balanced, and comforting. After eating here, you genuinely don’t feel like eating outside anywhere else.

This is one of those places everyone must try at least once — and once you do, you’ll keep coming back. Highly, highly recommended!

We hadn’t realised the Indian takeaway at St. Agnes had changed hands until today, when the amazing aromas wafting from the shop got my attention.

Our first visit to the Tandoori Box was a pleasant surprise. The staff were super friendly and helpful and we loved that they were keen to offer tastings of the dishes in the Bain Marie (all were really nice!) The chef also brought us a taste of each main dish of our order as he was cooking it, to make sure it was to our liking.

We had saag beef, lamb rogan josh, pepper chicken, 2 large steamed rice, 3 naan, 2 pappadams and raita. For just over $60 it fed 3 hungry adults but could probably have fed 4.

Each dish had it’s own distinct flavours, and everything was thoroughly enjoyed by all. This will now be our go-to for Indian food

My husband went to collect me a late lunch and he said the service was friendly and they made a curry fresh for us. It was 3pm on a Sunday so no curries were in the bain marie but they were happy to make something as requested. I’m not sure what it was called but it was delicious. Chicken in a mild spicy sauce with coriander. It was a bit salty but me and my low blood pressure didn’t mind

A small part of the rice was a little dry but it wasn’t a big issue. We got a meal deal with one curry, rice, papadams and a yoghurt sauce for about $20. The serving was quite generous, lots of yummy papadams.

Will be back as there’s a huge variety and lots of more authentic looking dishes. Plenty of vegetarian options and most curries are gluten free.
