Literally the BEST Indian food I’ve had so far in Southern California. I’ve been around the U.S. a few times and have Indian food all over. This place dang near blew my socks off! POW!! Bring your appetite, the portions are so big! Sharing is caring! Everything is so delicious. I received complimentary dessert which was delicious. Everything is so good and soO authentic. Trust me when I say, you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Our time at the Taj was nothing short of magical. A fortuitous google search led us to this Ventura-gem. The service was incredible, our waiters checked in on us frequently, and the food came out lickety SPLIT! As a group that was mixed vegetarian and regular diet, we had a plethora of options to choose from. The samosas were excellent, as was the yogurt (don’t skip out on it)! Beyond a lovely standard service, we were graced with ginger lemonade and kheer for dessert, all ON THE HOUSE! The atmosphere was lovely and the restaurant staying open until 11 was a real plus! A must experience place when in Ventura.

Had a wonderful dinner with many flavors. We are gluten-free and the restaurant is very accommodating. We started with the vegetable pakora with 3 or 4 dipping sauces. Excellent! Then Butter Lamb Curry, rich and creamy tomato sauce, over saffron rice! Delicious! Gluten free bread and ended with rice pudding. The servers are attentive! They all check on the tables! Very refreshing! We’ll be back!

11/10. The food was delicious! Great portions. The service was above and beyond! The Saffron Lamb was wonderful and the chicken tikka masala was better than most. Some of the best garlic naan I’ve had too. Ginger lemonade was super refreshing. And you must try the Kheer for dessert! Perfect place to go post movie as it’s right across the street. I’ll be back for sure!

Rich, creamy, herby, and anything under the sky to describe such a rich taste. This is my first experience of Indian cuisine and I loved it! Our server was extremely attentive and helpful when it came to our meals. To our surprise we were given a plate of food on the house! The entire experience was very calming and gave off such a healthy vibe. Only complaint from this would be the prices cause wow are they up there, arranging from 16.99 and up for a plate of curry that doesn’t come with rice on the side(sold separately). Even if the price is a bit up there I 100% recommend you introduce yourself into Indian cuisine here!
