Very cute place to eat in South Dakota. Food was great, price was cheap. I had an appetizer and two meals with drinks less than 40$. If this business expands they will do great. I hope they do!

Food was amazing. Very unique take on tacos (Among other things) in the best way possible. If you’re not wanting traditional Mexican cuisine. There is art you can buy which makes the atmosphere that much better not to mention there is a downstairs which reminds me of a speakeasy and matches the taco vaults appeal. I ended up buying a piece of art (very cool). Make no mistake about it the food is the draw but awesome to have the bonus of the art. I will certainly be back. I did go back (3-12-25) and it was even better the second time. People you must go to the Taco vault and try their food you will not be disappointed. My only regret is that I didn’t get more food and waited as long as I did to go back.

Expectations were met. They were just shorthanded and my cumin forward gringa tacos probably sat too long before serving. I’ll go back. I’ve had their chislic at an event before and love that they offer lamb. I’m a fan. Just not the best evening. The company was awesome.

Small hometown atmosphere – 5 star for that category ✨️ wherever you are at – this tiny spot is worth the drive. Blast of Baja was our favorite. Amazing selection of Beers, Seltzers and THC drinks too! Not fancy – not expensive – high quality in every bite.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday. This place is a renovated bank hence the name taco vault.

We tried the 3 dip sampler (queso, guac, and street corn dip). All 3 dips were very good! The street corn dip had a bit of kick!

Next up, stensland cheese curds. These were to die for! Melt in your mouth and a delicious parmesan crust.

Finally, the tacos. I had the hulk smash and the SD. Both very tasty! Sometimes tacos like this are small, with maybe a spoonful of meat. Not at Taco Vault!!

Lastly, we had the churro fries. Fresh and delicious! My only complaint would be to include some frosting for dipping the fries!

We will be back.

Stopped in for dinner and had the Gringa and 2 Blast of Baja tacos, one smoked chicken and one smoked pork. Fantastic flavors on all 3.

The flavors match, and surpass most, big city restaurants. Highly suggested if you’re looking for a hidden gem or a quick stop off the interstate.

Parking is plentiful but seating is limited.

I had seen a few reviews on social media about The Taco Vault but didn’t know much more than that. When my wife suggested we go for dinner, my initial reaction was “30 miles, for tacos?”. Let me tell you, I would drive 100 miles for this restaurant. We started with the elote bites appetizer. Every bite was a flavor explosion. I could immediately tell that careful thought was put into the creation of rhese and the highest quality ingredients were used. The pic provided is this appetizer. Unfortunately, it’s the only pic that I have from the visit as I could not wait to dig in to our tacos when they arrived. Again, fresh delicious ingredients and the care taken in presentation was off the charts. Get the churro bites as a dessert! The service was outstanding and the owner made a stop at our table for a nice chat. There are so many options on the menu that it will take us several trips to come even close to trying everything that we want to. I can not wait for my second visit.

I can’t even tell you my favorite dish at my new favorite restaurant, The Taco Vault, because I haven’t had anything I wouldn’t eat again and again. I work near here two days a month and I dream of my order the whole time I’m working. MUST GET: Fried Elotes and a Hulk Smash. Every time. Other amazing mentions: horchata bites, fried pickles, fried green beans, any of the breakfast tacos, the valut taco or SD taco- make them into nachos. Thank me with your mouth full. This place is worth the drive every time. Super friendly staff. Great local beer offerings. A dose of culture. I could go on and on but I’m too busy looking over the menu to choose my next taco!

Food was excellent, not only was it delicious but it was plated beautifully. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and even gave recommendations! I took their recommendations and I’m glad I did! I plan on coming back!

The flavors are unique and the staff is attentive and knowledgeable. I had 3 tacos – The HulkSmash, Hera, and Memphis Raine on grilled flour tortillas. Each stood on its own with a variety of delicious flavors. This place is a must stop if you enjoy delicious and unique taco themed combinations!
