I ordered their taco salad and there is a lot of food. Two people could eat on that and be very satisfied. My other half had a Cuban sandwich and said it was okay but liked the homemade bread a lot that made the sandwich better. The road noise is super loud and parking is somewhat difficult but I think it was worth the stop for a quick bite and all in all good food.

The food is always fresh, healthy, and full of flavor—comfort food in the best way, like something your mom would make. I’m Latina, and it truly tastes like home.
Everyone there is incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. The line can get a bit crowded at times, but once you place your order, the food comes out quickly.
My boyfriend is a quadriplegic and uses a wheelchair, and the staff is always sweet, attentive, and very helpful. That kindness makes a big difference and keeps us coming back.

Best taco spot I’ve been to in a long time! While vacationing in New Smyrna Beach, a cashier at Publix recommended The Taco Shack—and wow, what a great call.
It seems to be a family-run place, and you can feel the love in every bite. The food was absolutely phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and made to order. Be aware, they do close early, and there was a long line when we arrived, but it moved quickly and was 100% worth the wait.
The dining area is open-air with outdoor seating, and they’ve got fans going to help keep things cool. Such a great local find—don’t miss it if you’re in the area!
