In a state where healthy, thoughtfully prepared food can be hard to find—especially between urban centers—this place feels like a small act of rebellion against the food desert. The split pea soup was outstanding, deeply comforting and clearly made with care. The market is well-curated, full of good ingredients and smart choices, and the overall vibe is refreshingly quirky.
The system is a little unconventional—you shop the market, then they plate and serve your selections—which takes a moment to figure out. There’s still some polishing to do. But the heart is absolutely there. Real food. Real effort. Real flavor.
If you’re passing through and want something healthy, tasty, and a little off the beaten path, this place is worth the stop.
My teen loved learning how to flip crepes in-the-pan without a utensil (it’s all in the wrist!), and all the participants cheered each other on through several attempts.
Based on my experience, the Table Spoon cooking classes are a great way for couples, parents and kids, or friends to bond through a fun, shared experience. Could also be a really fun birthday party…just sayin’ Highly recommend!
If you love clean eating, crisp interesting salads, hot soups, and well made sandwiches, definitely add The Table Spoon to your hotspot list!
We had lunch and will definitely return for dinner soon.
Like every other time I have chosen to dine there or carry out, I was not disappointed.
Lovely to gaze, delicious to eat. So satisfying!
—The first was as a guest for a dinner for 10 people or so and we had the venue to ourselves. The appetizer was a make-your-own Thai spring roll activity that was delightful. It was a such a creative way to get everybody interacting and the ingredients were fresh and authentic. The rest of the meal and beverages were equally fantastic.
—The second was for a work “retreat” (basically a four-hour meeting) and they were very accommodating. The breakfast pastries and coffee were lovely, the coffee always filled and hot, and they moved the space around to accommodate our projector screen. Again, for the meeting, we had the venue to ourselves so it was quiet (but other groups were there for lunch, although separated by a partition).
The costs were very reasonable, the food and venue excellent, and the service was attentive without being intrusive.
