I decided to edit this review. The fact is I like this place. I know the owners and they are great people. The food is just fantastic and good folks. It’s not fair to leave a negative review based off 1 bartender. I’ll definitely be back!

Comic Crusaders
Not a welcoming spot for everyone.
I’ve been to The Swinging Chicken a few times, and while the female bartenders are friendly and the drinks are solid, the overall environment is uncomfortable and unwelcoming if you’re a person of color.
First time, I was told to “lower my voice” even though the TVs were blaring and I was just talking normally. I calmly told the owner that wasn’t okay and left.
Second time, a patron actually asked me what tribe I was from. Totally out of line.
The last time, I was speaking to an adult woman, simply asking who did her tattoo, when her mother started yelling for me to “get away” and somehow I got banned.
So yeah, good drinks, nice bartenders, but if you’re brown or not part of the “in-crowd,” prepare for disrespect. Not worth supporting a place where ownership and some regulars clearly don’t respect everyone equally.

If you would like a quick drink and leave this is your place. But, this is a college stomping ground it is usually packed Friday’s, Saturday’s.
They do have karaoke on Friday’s. They do have 2 bars, and one pool table (which you have to pay 1.00 per game)

To start zero stars isnt an option so they get one. I’ve been here 3 time. First time no problems at all, drank all night. Second time the bar tender shut me off after 3 drinks over the course of an hour and a half and gave me a attitude about it. Third time which was tonight we got kicked out because one of our friends had “too many” too quick on her birthday (4 drinks in 2 hours) and I walked off the deck to get a smoke out of the car and the only reason I could come back in was to pay my 15 dollar tab. This place is a joke. If your thinking about stopping in forget it go somewhere else. And to top it all off they do not sell food. Not to mention we all had sober drivers who got the boot too, the hell with this establishment
