My friend planned my birthday here on Saturday. We were super thankful they were able to accommodate a table for 10 of us. No one from are party had been here before. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks as well. We love the vibe there and all said we should come here more often. The chef came out to see how we were doing and I thought that was a great touch that made our experience even more personal.

This was a random find, place has a very upscale look and feel. The one thing that was off was the choice of (80’s Rock) with the atmosphere! Not complaining about the music (80’ child:))Food was excellent. I ordered the appetizer tempura Shrimp and Sweet potato. For the Entree I ordered the Steak Ribeye with potato’s. Definitely a Nice place to go, I will be back to try another entree.

I have been to the Douglas location three times and the old location 2 times.
I have been meaning to write a review and here is my honest review about the sweet spot.
I would say I am satisfied most of the times I have been there with the food and service.
The last time I went was a solo date and it didn’t feel awkward at all (so if you want to take yourself out this will be the place).
I got the pasta and meatballs with a less alcohol drink that the person who was my server (Lila) was kind enough to explain the menu to me as someone who prefers less alcohol in their drinks. She also was kind enough to take help take some pictures of myself which came out great.
The food has always been good. The very last meal I had in their old location which was the lamb chops (which I never forgot about -the lamb dish) and the trout fish (which was a special dish and wasn’t as good as I was expecting). I will still like to try again the next time I go if they still have it.
The first time I came to the new location I got the starter of the hammus and shawarma, pasta and meatballs and a filet w mash potatoes as main dish.
The pasta and meatballs were very good I had to go back and try it again with the breads and spreads which the sauce that was paired with the bread was really good.
The service, food and ambience has always been good. If they are busy tho your food/services might be a little behide and I mean it’s always worth the wait (servers are really nice about that from the times I go).

Finally, the prices are quite affordable compared to the last location and the ambiance is very lovely and spacious I would say.
A good place to have a birthday because I had my birthday earlier this year and my partners birthday last year (old location) at the sweet spot as well. Always let them know you have a little celebration coming up and they will make it special for you if you ask ahead of time from my experience.

Update: I went over for their brunch (this would be my 3rd time) and had Nigerian inspired brunch and I would say it was really good, the jellof rice, pepper soup oxtail, the plantains were the best on the menu. I really appreciate the change of menu each Sunday and showcase different cuisine for customers to try. The server Arib was super attentive to me and my friends and made sure everything was always okay with us.

The food, service and atmosphere was amazing. Our server Lila was great, she visited our table very frequently and kept our waters filled. My boyfriend and I have been here numerous times and order the pork chops every time, and they’re the best pork chops we’ve had every time. The mascarpone cake was amazing as well. The chef visited every table to and conversed with us for a while. It was a fantastic experience overall every time we dine there.

I was in there on a Monday and it was very quiet. Several topics that impressed me:
– the food I ordered was tasting exactly right with herbs and spices. I’m someone who normally adds pepper, not required here.
– the items I ordered looked exactly like on pictures.
– my service lady Adi was super friendly, gave me a teaser from a wine I did not know and „created“ a small dessert just for the little space I had left (not on the menu, ice cream with chocolate sauce)
– the chef came to visit each table to ask if all was tasting, very personal.
– and after all the prices were very normal.

My opinion? That place should be full every evening. I truly appreciated everything and the food was delicious.

Enjoyed my birthday dinner here! The food was amazing!! I enjoyed the calamari starter, the tortellini entree and the crème brûlée for dessert. Lila was our amazing server during our experience. Was excited to try this place, heard pretty good reviews. Started off good, host showed us to the table, someone brought us waters, waitress introduced herself and provided specials, then disappeared. Waited 45 mins before waitress came back to take order. The host walked by twice in the time seating other people and stopped to check if our order had been taken then apologozed and talked to the waitress just to be told hold on, ill be there in a minute. She would then disappear again even with the host reaching out to her twice she kept saying she will be right there. Host was awesome didn’t catch his name. Another 45 mins for food to come out half cooked and soggy in a to-go box. Steak was undercooked and poorly seasoned. Ordered bread and spread and it was sitting in a box with no spread, just the bread. Ended up not even eating the meal, waste of money. Got there at 5:55pm sat by 6, left at 7:30p with a disppointing overpriced to-go box. Overall a horrible experience.

Booked this restaurant for Valentine’s Day hoping to try something different. The service was good and the waitstaff were friendly and attentive. However, when it came to the overall food quality and atmosphere, the experience felt more like a budget restaurant dressed up as a high-end one. For the prices they charge, you expect exceptional food, but overall the meal felt mediocre.

My wife and I ordered crab cakes as an appetizer, followed by Steak Diane and seafood Alfredo as our main courses, and finished with a berry lemon cake for dessert.

The highlight of the meal was definitely the crab cakes — they were flavorful and well prepared. The seafood Alfredo was decent but nothing memorable. The lobster in the dish was overcooked, and the rest of the seafood was average at best. The Steak Diane appeared to use a very thin, lower-quality cut of steak, and the sauce tasted more like a pre-made packet than something prepared fresh in-house. The dessert was enjoyable in flavor, but it tasted as though it had been previously frozen and thawed, resulting in a slightly dry texture.

Overall, for the amount of money being charged, there are better options in Wichita that offer higher quality food and a more satisfying dining experience.
