Found myself in gator country for work. Our host said if we could find parking we should give it a try, happy we did. The Burger was good but the chicken sandwich stole the show. What ever the sauce is it’s a winner. Spicy but not too hot. We had to get a side of it for the fries. Parking sucks but if you can find a spot it’s worth it.

Food was was ok. Burger overcooked…egg undercooked…philly wasn’t bad. Service not so good. They were not busy, and we had no check ins. We may come back during football season to update review. We don’t need staff to kiss our butts…just basic service.

We’ve been coming to Swamp since it was in the original location. The food has always been good. We came twice during our visit this time, and dinner and lunch were both delicious. I’m so glad they now have the beyond burger!
For dinner I had the southwest salad, which was amazing, and for lunch I had the beyond burger. They have quite a varied menu, so there’s something for everyone. Lauren and Trinity helped us at the bar and we’re wonderful!
The atmosphere is great for families and students alike.

Went on a game day. $10 cover. The place was packed, but not hard to order at the bar. Seating extremely limited, though the servers were quick given the crowd. The game day burger was definitely sitting on the grill too long and I wouldn’t recommend it for the taste, but it came out within 5 minutes, which was helpful on a game day. Seems like a cool place to watch games

This spot is serving up some good bar food and is perfect for game-nights. However, coming here to catch up with a friend was a bit difficult in the loud setting inside. My power wrap was great with the seasoned soy protein and hummus to moisten things up. I was happy to see some vegan options on the menu. Be careful with the sides though as the seasonal vegetable may come with bacon!

We had a great experience at The Swamp Restaurant. Parking was okay, but since they don’t have their own lot, be prepared to walk a bit if you prefer something closer. We were seated promptly, and our waitress, Alexa C., was fantastic—very attentive and helpful.
The food was delicious. I ordered the steak and cheese, which was flavorful, messy (in the best way), and definitely required extra napkins. C had the Spicy Ahi Tuna Bowl, and it was just as tasty. If we could change one thing, it would be to expand the on-tap menu or include more detailed descriptions of their specialty brews.
The atmosphere was enjoyable, and it’s a fun spot to hang out. Any Gators fan absolutely needs to stop by—it’s part of the Gainesville experience.

Reply to owner; we actually came in and sat down at a table. It was not very crowded and we received no service. Not even somebody saying “I’ll be with you in just a minute”.. just a few looks from the waitresses.
We finally got up and went to the bar, I didn’t catch the bartender’s name but I do know she’s majoring in history . She was very helpful, attentive and patient with us since at this time we were a little perturbed. The food really was awesome ( I honestly think those are the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever eaten) and her service and friendlyness made the whole visit worthwhile!!

Food and service were good but i think you need to provide a safer working environment for your employees. I feel so sorry for these girls having to navigate through doors and up and down those treacherous steps with food orders and dishes. Im sure your insurance carrier would agree that you need to Modify working conditions to ensure safety for employees and minimize liability.Best,Ashley and Ileana McCray.

Best burger I’ve had in a long time. This place is really cool, especially if you like hanging with the younger crowd. Exactly what should be expected from a college bar/restaurant… Good burgers and wraps, cold beer, and service that takes a little longer than what you’re probably used to.
