Well. This was one of my best experiences ever. The food is made for gods and by gods. We enjoyed every bite and every minute of our dinner. It was our very special day and the place and the staff made it one of a kind. Our waitress was top level professional and top level nice. The hostess was very hospitable and kind. My visit was June 19th 8 pm.

A classy atmosphere but they had no problems seating my wife and I in shorts and tie dye. The asparagus and she crab soup were phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes and pimento burger were ok, but too sweet for my taste (they put jelly on both). The ankle breaker (drink) was really good! The second was even better. I had the good sense not to try a third

The Swamp Fox Restaurant is a hidden gem in Charleston, South Carolina. It’s been voted the best place to start your day in Charleston by Southern Living Magazine, and for good reason. The food is incredible, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is charming.

Great Coffee at the Swamp Fox! We had the Frech Toast and the Hearty Breakfast and it was huge and came out quickly. Christina was such a happy, friendly, and attentive waitress. Thanks for a fancy breakfast!

Terin our amazing server had us drinks in just a few minutes, a steaming bowl of she crab soup with just the right amount of Sherry on top, and a loaf of sour dough bread were quick to follow. The “Ankle Breaker” and “Bubbles on King” were our drink of choice and both were very tasty, and plenty stout! The she crab soup was the best I’ve ever eaten! (I consider myself a connoisseur of She-Crab soup and lobster bisque and I have to say this one takes the blue ribbon!), for entree my wife and I shared the beef tenderloin, and a side of collard greens and Mac and cheese, the tenderloin is served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was fantastic, I did add salt and pepper to the Mac and cheese but that’s just a personal taste thing. 10 stars! Give Terin a raise! Go eat here, a diamond in Charleston SC.

This was a convenient spot to grab a bite while staying at the Francis Marion. The food was great, but the fried green tomatoes were soggy, so that was a bit disappointing.

Food was absolutely delicious! We got dinner from the restaurant itself and had room service the next morning bring breakfast. For the delicious food and amazing service you get, it is well worth the money. Not only did our waitress provide incredible service, even the host kept walking back and checking on us. I forgot to take photos of it but the bacon and cheddar hush puppies with maple glaze is a MUST TRY! I got the fried chicken breast with Charleston red rice and collards and my fiance got the cheeseburger and added a fried egg to it. It was DELICIOUS! The next morning we ordered a Belgian waffle with bacon (which I shared cause it was so much bacon) and a stack of pancakes with sausages. We called down and asked if it was breakfast sausage (which it wasn’t) but still tasty!

The customer service was great and the Shrimp and Grits were the best version of this dish I have EVER had. Leave it to the South to do it right. Not your typical hotel restaurant. Wonderful jazz standards playing in the background. Definitely gave us the southern feel.
