The restaurant decor is gorgeous but that was the only thing great about this place. The food was okay, not terrible or delicious…but just okay. Service was incredibly slow and they took forever to take our order and they were somewhat rude when taking our orders. I recommend this place if you want to try over-priced mediocre food.

Went during lunch, my yellow tail poke bowl was great and so was the takoyaki. The decor and ambiance is fantastic. The food could just be meh and I’d still come back for the Ambiance and jazzy music.

I have to tell the truth I know everyone’s experience is not going to be the same but every time I go to the sushi machine it is absolutely wonderful. It’s one of my favorite places to eat. The service is always great the food always on point and I can’t say enough about the decor of the restaurant. But for some reason last week Friday we tried to have dinner at the sushi machine and it was closed. They say there are closed for rebranding and renovation. They should be back open October 31st or November 1st according to the letter on the door of the restaurant. But besides all that if you go to the sushi machine you will not be disappointed. Attached to this review I actually have before and after pictures of my bento box my sister wanted to lick her plate.

A different take on your traditional sushi bar. Very friendly wait staff (our waitress Sunny clearly lives up to her name), casual atmosphere and outdoor seating to take advantage of the cooler weather. My son informed me that the bathrooms have a good hipster vibe (must’ve been the poster that said “hey there handsome”). They’ve been open only three days now and are still waiting to get their liquor license (which we were informed should be sometime next week). Had the Geisha Kiss burrito roll was tasty and filling. Hopefully more folks will give this new Berkeley Lake area restaurant a shot – it looks promising.

Had the deconstructed crab rangoon, milky way shrimp, and Mission Impossible roll. I came with a friend and wasn’t immediately sure what to make of the Japanese/Mexican/Hawaiian theme but I was blown away by each of the appetizers and the roll. Everything was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the wait staff generally just embodied the aesthetic of letting your troubles slip away with good food. Very impressed.

This is an ok/average sushi place. Convenient because its in walking distance. Service is hit or miss. Menu, as far as sushi goes, needs some work w greater variety. Too many rolls stem from California Roll base and they build from there. They do have a decent draft and bottle beer list, much better than most sushi spots. Some unique appetizers as well. A few tweaks and this place could be very good. Inside decor is nice and seems like they often have some good jazz playing for background music.

When we walked in we were immediately greeted with a friendly welcome and seated right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We had the milky way shrimp, black dragon roll, the tempura udon bowl, and a sushi burrito. All were so fresh tasting with complex flavors that were exactly what we were looking for. The ambiance is nice, it feels light and airy while still feeling hip and cozy. We didn’t sit out on the patio, but it looked really inviting, maybe we will try that next time. This is THE place to go for fresh full service sushi with a little bit of a hipster vibe and a great atmosphere! Try them!

The food quality here is quite phenomenal, the food is served fresh. The place is well decorated, as the background music is nice upbeat jazz. I really enjoyed it here. It is a convenient driving distance, and amazingly beautiful decor fills the view of my eyes. Did I mention, the customer service is over the top? I would come again 10/10.

I’ve been several times now and I can say that the food is consistently phenomenal! The sushi rice is lightly seasoned but the spicy salmon poke bowl with lettuce is my favorite! Their takoyaki is superb as well, crisp on the outside and very soft and moist internally.
The people that work here are quick and polite as well. Ian was our server and he was very good.
