This place was very nice. Fairly quiet and helpful staff, I would love to give them five stars but in my group of five only one person’s sushi was really good and so I highly recommend the lobster roll as well as the edamame and banana tempura.

Our group was all pleasantly surprised by the very high quality of sushi, and not just for a mountain town. The sashimi, and several different rolls were as good as any sushi restaurant in Denver. Service was great too. What a gem in downtown winter park.

We’ve always liked the WP Sushi Bar. For an inland restaurant, high up in the Rockies, it always seems to have fresh fish and the rice is always done perfectly.
They’ve changed a lot over the years, so I suppose my review is based on that. They used to have a dinner for 2 on the menu, which served a 4 course meal and it was such a great deal – we ordered it every time we went. They also used to serve a lot more on the menu, but have taken a lot off in recent years, including tako and other sushi mains you’re used to seeing on the menu.
They’ve always had a dim restaurant mood, but with the red walls and red lighting now, it’s hard to see anything – every picture that I loaded here is red; you can’t see the contrast in color of the sushi, which is exactly what you want to see.
The rumor lately has been that the service sucks here, but I’ve never personally experienced that. We went tonight for our 12 year wedding anniversary and had a great time.

The sushi here is very good. We mostly order rolls and have not been disappointed. However, I never know when they are open. Even when I call ahead, it is difficult because they don’t open until 4pm & don’t always keep the voicemail updated, especially during mud season (fall & spring) . I have gone several times only to end up eating at the Chinese place upstairs. Also, there is a 10% charge for to go orders. I’m not sure if that is to cover the tip or not as I have never seen that anywhere else.

I was hesitant to try this spot as it said it was located in a mall, but I am SO happy I did! We dined in on New Year’s Eve and although they were very busy we got great service. I can honestly say this was the best sushi I’ve ever had! We had the the Lobsta & the Cannonball rolls- amazing! This will def be a place we return to next time we’re in town.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Colorado! Not only are Fernand and Tanya friendly owners, the food is superb and the atmosphere is cozy. My 15 year old son and I crave their sushi! We’re heading there for Valentine’s dinner with my mom. Three generations can’t be wrong.

For a small county sushi place It is very very good. Good lighting great atmosphere. Music can very but the food and everything else is amazing. Plus amazing plum and pear wine. I love going there.

There was a large wait and we eventually got turned away. The man at the register seemed to be in poor spirits and turned his attitude towards us. The sushi was reasonably priced though, but I wouldn’t recommend. A 2 star Michelin star resteraunt in Japan sells at about the same price though.

I have never asked for a refund at any kind of restaurant until I ate here. The miso soup tasted like soap water and the tuna rolls we ordered were covered in so much “mystery sauce” the rolls may have been bricks of Velveeta cheese.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I have NEVER had a restaurant tell you the are too busy to make 1 sushi roll. After you patiently agreed to wait an hour for a single take out order…. Very disappointing. I would suggest giving your business to someone who appreciates their customers.
