Ordered the chorizo kale soup, clams & sea scallops; all sourced locally. The food was delicious & fresh tasting, not fussy or overly sauced/seasoned. The place was quiet & service was prompt. This meal definitely hit the spot after a chilly day on the road.

Our first time here, the place has a nice atmosphere. Feels cozy in a small environment. Service was friendly and funny. The food tasted nice. The only small issue i had was the food portion for meatballs starter, which was $9 for two meaballs and 4 pieces of garlic bread. The sauce was delicious. I just wished the portion was a bit more. The dinner was tasty. I would order the seabass again.

Absolutely delicious food made from fresh ingredients. The biggest problem here is deciding what to order. The service was very good and the restaurant has a nice low key charm. We will definitely be going back soon to try some different options.

This place is an absolute gem tucked away in York Village. The atmosphere is cozy and casual, and the staff was very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend and I got the salmon bacon salad and the chicken and gravy and were blown away by both of them. The ingredients are incredible and fresh, meaning that not only does the food taste good, it makes you feel good! They also are extremely accommodating of dietary restrictions and care a lot about the health and safety of their customers! Their homemade ice cream sandwich for dessert was the cherry on top. Will absolutely be coming back and can’t recommend this place enough.

I haven’t had a full 5 star experience at a place in a while. This is a restaurant but honestly it felt like so much more than a simple place to sit and be served food. John and Susan, the owners, were great to chat with. The space was decorated with a great vibe. The food was absolutely spectacular with unexpected flavors that were delicious. It’s not cheap but it’s a great value in my opinion. Highly recommend.

Love the coziness & welcoming atmosphere & the great service. The menu is full of locally sourced dishes that go from homemade comfort food like the meatball grinder to trying something new to me like the smoked bluefish pate that comes with tortilla chips that’s making me plan my next visit. But did pick up a bottle of one of their hot sauces to add some of their flavor to my dishes at home. Thank you Suzanne & Jon & will try to save room for your delicious crème brûlée Next visit

Bartenders were great, atmosphere was great…. Clam chowder was not you typical clam chowder…loaded with huge chunks of potato but no clams. When I commented on it the guy John all but ripped it out of my hands saying that’s not true! There’s clams but they are expensive and diced and offered to take it and remove from my tab. Rude and didn’t remove it from my tab I wanted the lobster grilled cheese but they said they were all out

Wonderful one-of-a-kind restaurant where you can hold a conversation and not be deafened by the music or another party.. We love seafood and were so happy to find fresh dishes with lots of flavor. Most importantly, they were not deep fried. Other places nearby serve fish and other seafood – almost always fried. I should have thought to photo my meal which was very attractive – well, next time!

The Sun Drop is the best kept secret in York! In addition to the dining room, there’s a large bar with friendly patrons and lively conversation. Drinks from the bar are creative with large pours. The food is outstanding. We had a meatball appetizer with garlic bread followed by a lobster/monkfish/scallop fra diavolo. Generous portion and delicious. My wife had a large bowl of clam chowder made authentically. It’s always great. Our service was attentive and friendly. On some nights there is live music. John, the owner, is friendly and the Sun Drop is always a pleasure with consistently wonderful food.

What a great little restaurant! Everyone was super welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. But what’s on the plate is the real star! We started with the potato leek soup and the chowder. Both were really delicious! Then I had the grilled sea bass with miso glaze, brown basmati rice and grilled vegetables. My wife had the Salisbury Steak and mashed potatoes. Both were delicious and tasted home made. The kitchen puts a lot of love into their food. I highly recommend this restaurant!
