Me and my boyfriend came to PA for a weekend getaway we tried this place for the first time and the food was delicious. I got the chicken and waffle didnt care to much for the waffle so was able to swap it for some scrambled eggs. My boyfriend got the steak and eggs and the steak was so tender and delicious the pictures attached speaks for it self this place was way affordable then if we had ordered some thing like this in VA

This place was so interesting! Old fashioned feel to it. The food was great! The drinks were flavorful and strong. The stairs to the second level were steep. Visited on a Sunday and it was hard to find parking close. Would totally go again tho!

This spot has a great atmosphere with an easy, laid-back vibe. The people are welcoming, the food is good—borderline top-tier—and the drinks are creative and well executed. The cocktails alone are worth the visit. The bartenders really know their craft, and the alcohol selection, including local beers, is solid.
My only real issue is brunch. Every time I’ve visited after 12 p.m. (brunch is served until 2 p.m.), there’s been a problem—either they’re no longer taking food orders, the kitchen is backed up with a 45-minute wait, or they’ve simply run out of food. It comes off unprofessional and could definitely be handled better. I’ve noticed this becoming a growing trend during brunch service in general, and while some people suggest arriving as early as 10 a.m. for the best experience, consistency matters. If you’re offering brunch, you should be properly staffed and prepared to serve guests throughout the full service window. Period.
It’s especially frustrating when you’ve traveled specifically to experience their culinary offerings and hit a wall like that.
Overall, if you’re looking for a spot that feels like a New York–style dive bar with elevated drinks and solid food—if you catch it at the right time—this place delivers. Just plan strategically if brunch is your goal.

We stopped in for dinner on our trip from North Carolina. Jeff was a fantastic server, extremely friendly, helpful and very funny! We got the prime rib sandwich and the shrimp tacos. Both were out of this world. Portions were great, more than enough food! We will definitely be stopping again on our next trip.

Yeah…. If you’re thinking about going, go. Like just go. Whatever your reason for not going… you’re wrong. It’s soooooooooooo good. Look at these pictures like the food will change your week, no it’ll change your month. The bartender was so cool and knowledgeable and the host/food runner is so nice and upbeat it makes you wanna stay longer, the beer list is exactly what you want without being overwhelming. It’s right by the capital building so super safe and easy access. Did I mention the food was so freaking good because… it was. Go here, live a better life, be happy, you deserve it.

Stopped here on the way home and so happy we did. Everyone was so nice and food was delicious. Tried the caramel frappe shot, was strong and good. Chicken cheesesteak was so dang good with fresh hot fries. Highly recommend!

The pulled pork was delightful and had a moderate smoky flavor with the addition of their house cheese sauce it was a perfect balance. The side of corned beef hash was unique in that the beef was shredded instead of sliced. With the potatoes and onions, it was great.
This is a real staple of neighborhood, and we will be back!

Great food and even better service. Our waitress Nnenna was amazing, very kind and friendly. She checked on us often and helped us decide on our dinner choices. We will definitely be back when in the area.

I’m a little late on this review. A few weeks ago I made my third stop at the speakeasy for dinner with my son coming through Harrisburg from the Corvair ranch in Gettysburg. This place never a disappoints. Great bartenders, vibe and the food is amazing. Looking to always try something different it’s hard for me not to order the Cubano sandwich. Best Cubano sandwich ever… This place is a must stop when traveling through Harrisburg Pa.
