We decided to give this restraunt a shot. Our experience was terrible. We ordered a new york strip steak medium and received a black on the outside and super rare on the inside steak that had a lot of fat. Our baked potato was barely room temperature and very undercooked and our asparagus was mushy and bitter. The only other table in the restraunt received refills on their drinks before we got our first and only round of drinks, which came after our food and after we reminded the server. We would have ordered a second round because they had Kentucky bourbon barrel stout on draft but we never got the chance. The only redeeming quality of the experience was that the server comped the one beer that we did get.

THE STRIP STEAKHOUSE & SALOON
First time we went to the Strip Steakhouse was when it 1st. opened. We had a 45 minutes wait at the bar and 45 minutes before we got the food after we ordered. The food and service was Excellent.
This time there was no waiting. We ordered appetizer thinking we will have to wait for the food for a while.
The appetizer and my French onion soup came followed by our Entrees 2 minutes later.
We never got to enjoy our spinach artichoke Dip. It was bland and we ended up bringing it home. French Onion soup was ok but nothing great. It was very hot so by the time I finished it, My main course was cold. My wife ordered Prime Rib rare to medium. Our waitress told us it is usually quite rare but it was not. It was medium to the side of well. When we told our waitress, Our waitress stated yes she saw it coming out and it looked more medium than rare.
I ordered my Prime Rib Blackened. it had some cajun spices but it was not Blackened.
Our prime Ribs tasted good otherwise.
Our waitress took away our Bread even before we could try it and left our check on the table when we still eating our main course. Yes, she did ask us if we will be ordering a dessert.
All along it was a rushed meal rather then a relaxing one.
Would I go back again, Yes I will give them another chance.

This place has been a huge disappointment. First time I was there food wasn’t good at all. I figured we would try it again and the second time was worse than the first time. They do not know how to cook a steak. I didn’t get my one side and when I asked about it the waitress says oh I can have them box that up for you. I had asked for another drink and didnt get that. The steak was fatty and inedible. The prices are ridiculous for the poor food quality. When I said something about the steak that I did not eat I was told oh we never had complaints before. Hello customer service!!!! You are to ask if there is anything else I would like to have. I even stated to the waitress about my bad experience the first time and she assured me that it w ouldnt happen again as they had gotten rid of a lot of people. I will not be going back for the poor food. They didn’t even try to make it right. I left 80 dollars less in my pocket and had to go somewhere else because I didn’t eat. I do not recommend

I love this place. Their food is amazing…hence my last visit was not my favorite. I stopped in a bit before 9pm…as I walked in the bartender seemed hesitant when I wanted to place an order and looks at opposite side of the bar where the cook was and asked of he was still cooking and said no! I was very disappointed. Nowhere online or facebook did it say they close the kitchen early. Although disappointed after a long day of work I will try again. Hopefully we can get the town on board with this place as to not have this problem. They have the best steaks in town for great prices…they should be getting more business. Shame on you J-Town

Breads not fresh baked, steak seems boiled. Probably the worst steak wife and I ever had. Really not picky but we did not like this at all. Great waiter he was amazing!!

Ordered a beer and a water. Did not receive our drinks until after our food. We had to remind the server about them. Our steak was black on the outside and super rare, we had asked for medium. Our potato was undercooked and barely room temperature. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Had a ribeye with the langostino topping. It was good 8.5/10. The asparagus side was good. The wild rice side was not. Paired with a Saranac Torpedo. I’d eat here again.

3 of us went in at 4 pm on a friday. The place was empty. It took us a while to get noticed, seated and drinks. We placed our orders and 45-50 mins latter, we got our food. No additional drinks offered and no inquiry about desserts. Was glad to get out of here. Worst service in Johnstown.
